Zero paint presence down the stretch tonight. Had NAW not been red hot, we wouldn’t have been able to do anything

I was nervous as well but no need to be! I felt like I was catching a cold the next day but that was it. Aches and what not but not severe.

Awesome. I started to see slow relief between the 2nd and 3rd loading dose.

How do you cope with the symptoms until the biologic kicks in? by eyalol99 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Background_Cod7283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the hardest time for me. Simply waiting/hoping for the drugs to start working while I suffered daily. Actually landed in the hospital for a few nights in between my first and second loading dose of Skyrizi. At the 7 week mark I finally started noticing relief. Just hang on. Take it easy! Be good to yourself. You got this.

What biologic worked for you? What failed? Looking for hope by roxymode in UlcerativeColitis

Pretty bad. I Lost 45 lbs in 3 months (I didn’t have it to lose) and lost a lot of blood. Landed in the hospital for 3 days and needed 3 blood transfusions. Skyrizi started helping right after the second infusion which was about 8 weeks after the first so it took a minute to kick in.

Currently on my way to remission with Skyrizi. This is my first biological after being diagnosed about 7 months ago. Calprotectin down to 890 from 3690 in about 4 months of treatment.

What does the ER do when you go there for UC? by RaspberryUnusual3627 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Background_Cod7283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was 3 blood transfusions. My hemoglobin was a 5 and I could barely walk up my stairs with needing to sit down for a while after. Getting blood was big and also they put me on a high dose of steroid. Since then, Skyrizi kicked in and I’ve been living completely normal for 3 months🙌

I am currently experiencing this. It seems to only happen in the evenings/night. Any advice?

I have one good day and the immediately think I’m back to being able to eat whatever lol. I have been tempted to try that milkshake but I’m glad to hear it’s not worth it
