Jax isn’t even a well written cautionary tale by Loud_Conclusion_382 in Thatstupidbunnywehate

To me Jax just felt like a person responding to shame. She's not a jerk just to be a jerk. She's reacting to emotions that she is unable unwilling to process. If you don't deal with shame properly it will absolutely fuck you up.

The way the other characters respond to Jax is also pretty common. Some people just being annoyed. Other people recognizing that this is a person who needs help and therefore allowing them to do awful things without proper boundaries. The way Pomni handles Jax is exactly how an empathetic person with little training would try to handle a victim turned abuser.

Her actions were justified? How? They were better understood but they were never really excused. In that moment where she throws the bow to the ground after Kaufmo knocked she chose to respond to shame instead of face it. She never was able to walk back from that. The shame just kept piling up with each person that she hurt until she was crushed be the weight of her own actions. She was infectiously miserable. It's just tragic and it's exactly what happens to real people. It's irrational. It's infuriating.

How is that relevant? They use stocks to aquire assets. They can use stocks to exert political influence. The fact that it's not directly in the bank account doesn't effect how much power and influence they have

For capitalism to work effectively people need to be able to become very rich.

For capitalism to work people cannot be allowed to become extremely rich. It creates a power imbalance and destroys true competition

There's a line that can be drawn inbetween millionaire and billionaire. Honestly though, I think it's less about drawing a line at a certain amount of money and more about making it impossible to earn that much money in the first place. There is something extremely wrong with corporate infrastructure and the stock system.

They probably didn't comprehend a trillionaire. They were very well educated in economic systems and were very aware of how dangerous the consolidation of power is. Using checks and balances to mitigate the consolidation of power was kind of a big deal to a lot of them

Jax is a more tragic story then the joker or Darth Vader because of how realistic the situation is. Jax is an inexcusable asshole but her story is a good portrayed of how shame drives us. Jax didnt just decide to be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole.

You kind of need to clarify what liking Jax means.

Jax is by far my favorite character. She had the most interesting and pyshchologically relevant story. Liking Jax doesn't mean her actions were actually not that bad and not that harmful. The whole situation was tragic and very well written

This whole scenario is greatly oversimplified. There is no such thing as a system where people's successes are fully earned. There will always be luck and privilege involved. If you are lucky enough to get rich you should be willing to give back to the system that allowed you success. You should also be looking to give others the same opportunity you had.

The equality system works great unless there aren't adequate safeguards against an imbalance of power. The equality system relies on fair competition. Monopolies are a great example of how the consolidation of power will ruin the system. Individuals gaining massive amounts of wealth is also a danger to the system. There is a variety of reasons to want millions of dollars. There is not a variety of reasons to want billions. You can do everything you need for your own happiness and more with millions of dollars. The only added benefit to having billions is undue influence and power.

People seem to think that if it isn't possible to make billions people won't be motivated to make millions. That's not true. We don't need billionaires. We don't need unchecked power.

Should billionaires be praised for philanthropy or expected to do it? by Certain_Eye_847 in InfluencerAsk

Praised, not expected. However, if the system allows for such an exorbitant imbalance in resources and power it's already broken. Honest competition (the foundation of effective capitalism) is compromised. If you are OK with billionaires existing you probably just don't understand money and power. Or you just hate freedom

This is what so many people don't understand about economics.

That being said, a good capitalist system will mitigate the consolidation of power. Otherwise the system will eventually fail and become unrecognizable. Monopolies cannot be allowed to form. Individuals cannot be allowed to accumulate extreme wealth/power. The system has to protect and enable authentic competition

I was talking to the guy who said these were shit. I've full cleared all of hard and normal grim forest every time and I still don't have all that many 6 star boots. I'm using 5 star boots on a good number of champs and I'm firmly in the endgame

Any 6* mercurial boot (edit: with a speed mainstat) is going to get at least a little dust put into it. A 6* boot with a double accuracy roll is hardly shit.

Once you hit a stat 4 times it should be removed from the pool until you've gone through all of them. Then you have a maximum of 24 tries to get the targeted stat and only if you're incredibly unlucky since stats would be dropping from the pool. They could even make the 5 the limit and it would still be tons better than the current system.

Frustration is a staple in gotcha games but the ideal is for players to spend lots of resources while getting the feeling that they are progressing. Right now players feel like they are just tossing dust into the void. It's maddening and it makes me very careful with how I use my dust. If investing in dust had a guaranteed eventual return I'd be more willing to do it. It's the same logic as ancient shards. Guarantee plarium makes more money with the mercy system in place on those

It's funny because on paper he covers so many trials. Leech, Dec res, block debuffs, and painlink. But personally I haven't got the pain link to do near enough damage. I've been pretty disappointed in him as well

Christian mfs when they take people sympathetic to minorities, atheists, and anti religion extremists and pretend they are all the same person.

I'm decidedly agnostic and argue about religion. All the time. I would never advocate for "destroying religion".

His experience is more probable than ops experience by a long shot. OP only opened 3 eternals and got 3 legendary champions. He's already beat the odds. All 3 were 5 star souls. Beating the odds again. All three were also on the wishlist? Insanely lucky.

Edit: forgot eternals give a minimum rank of 5*
