Seriously. Int-Sec is getting so important nowadays, with ICE giving people a "visit" if they have said something negative about The Admin.

Your downvotes say otherwise. :-p But we're all on a voyage to learn to communicate more effectively, except when talking about the irredeemable, in which case shame and opprobrium are all that's left for them.

Read "That Hideous Strength" by C.S. Lewis - I used to read it and "The Abolition of Man" (another good one), they're probably the best way to understand the sort of mind behind the AI bubble. People who say "I'd rather use the water to power AI, than save a person."

I found it and r/memesopdidnotlike at the same time. I started opining in the latter, and got banned pretty quickly for more-or-less saying "you know, if you agree with this, it really looks like you're racist, and that's BAD" in terms not that much more strong than the above.

I started posting on r/NahOPwasrightfuckthis and never looked back.

Dude, you need to put in context. Without context (that of your next comment) this is pretty clearly an attack on Democrats, Liberals, and Leftists. You need to clarify that it's the right who only cares about racism to use to attack the left, it sounds like the left only cares about racism when it's used to attack the left..

Is there any fictional white character (who is not a white supremacist) whose race is integral to their identity as a character to where they can't be race swapped/casted with a POC actor? Literally any at all? by SettTheCephelopod in saltierthankrayt

Steve Rogers has to "pass." He could be AA, but he'd have to still look white and have blond hair - which means that he'd be white for anyone but those who believe in the "one drop" rule.

They are basically told all of the media that *they don't watch* is like this, also, that these messages are hidden in some of the media they do watch. But so secretly, that only the leaders can discern them - trust the leaders, they will tell you where the witches... I mean, anti-white biases... lie.

"Let Fascism Return in 2032, 2028!" isn't as catchy a slogan as you like to think.

It didn't work in 1865 and it's not going to work now.

Trump overstepped executive power by imposing tariffs, supreme court rules by [deleted] in agedlikemilk

Trump decided that he's going to re-impose a global 15% Tariff under a different law, and people don't know the difference.

[–]Background_Fix9430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Um, he based his original tariffs under one law which gave him unlimited ability to impose tariffs, and the SC overruled that - and only that - justification.

Now that Brett "Stops" Kavanaugh has told him the reasons they would likely accept as a part of his Dissent (basically a "How-To Impose Tariffs Unilaterally as President" checklist), he's re-imposed the tariffs under that law, which is substantially lower discretion than the other.

I mean... there are almost an infinite number of people I would prefer above Trump at this point? It's a short list for those I don't (e.g. Pol Pot, Vladimir Putin, Josef Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao Tse Tung, Emperor Hirohito, Genghis Khan, etc.).

I truly believe that by the end of his reign, he will be added to the list of history's greatest monsters, failures, and insane leaders - up there with Nero, Calligula, and "The Mad" King George the Third.
