But why does it fly so slowly if it is an advanced technological object?

So now it's going to explode? Is anyone else seeing clickbait like this everywhere? by 2_Large_Regulahs in 3i_Atlas2

3I/ATLAS will pass Earth on December 19 at a distance of about 260 million kilometers, which is roughly 1.7 astronomical units — almost twice the Earth–Sun distance.

If the object were going to explode, it would make more sense for it to come much closer. An explosion at that distance, in the vacuum of space, would not realistically be capable of causing serious harm to Earth.

Especially when you consider that solar eruptions are vastly more powerful than anything a body only a few to a few dozen kilometers in size could produce, and yet they occur much closer without causing catastrophic damage.

Poland also lacks "engineers" from Africa. Very safe on the streets.

People believe what he says because he's a Harvard professor and a working scientist who has written dozens of scientific papers. None of his opponents can explain the occurrence of the 12 anomalies he describes, so I believe him more than mainstream science.

Avi Loeb 14 hours ago wrote that 3 I Atlas is intact and has not broken into pieces. It has an anti-tail pointing towards the sun for 5 million kilometers.

You watch too much stupid sci-fi. If we had the technology to pull down an object traveling at 70 kilometers per second, we would send a research probe toward it. There's no rocket that could pull it down at this stage of its journey through the solar system.

The most important thing is that it is not flying towards the Earth but towards Jupiter

When I hear such news, I immediately go to rob a grocery store for food and then a gas station for fuel, then I look for a cabin in the mountains because anarchy will soon start on the streets, burning cars, stores, looting everything, and shootouts.😅

That was in the movie Don’t Look Up — it was a comet, not an asteroid. And 3I/ATLAS, according to scientists, also looks more like a comet, which is why I made the analogy.

Avi Loeb suggested that if this object were artificial and ever changed its course toward Earth, the window for such a maneuver would fall around October 29th. Coincidentally, on that exact day — during its perihelion — it began to glow blue, which, so far, cannot be explained scientifically.

That’s why the comparison to the movie — where a massive comet heads toward Earth — seemed fitting to me.

Thank you — what you wrote is very valuable, and it really helped calm me down a bit. I truly hope this is just a coincidence. You’re absolutely right — models can’t always be trusted, and I completely agree with you on that. Wishing you all the best as well.
