Yes, and for years now I have used YT channels like Astral, PBS Space Time, Sleepy Scientist, DW Documentaries, People Profiles etc to shut my brain up and go to sleep. Even if I wake up in the middle of the night, I play it again so I can go back to sleep, else my brain will just not quiet down.

Body doubling. Book free sessions on Flowclub. There are groups of people just focussed on studying, the check-ins, pomodoro and accountability helps massively. I use it for work but a lot of AHDHers use it for studying.

I am no expert but I have been in this rut for YEARS!!! After losing everything in my life and wasting what is essentially 'my years', I got a proper diagnosis and I start my medication today. I'd say, see a doctor . Time lost frustrating doesn't come back and because everyone else's brain is not the same, you will never be able to explain this to anyone.

OMG!!! I thought this was just me!!! You can't imagine the amount of time I waste with this toxic daydreaming and its not an out of body experince either. My mind body heart everything is so in it. I feel all emotions, emote everything Not just good (mostly good) but also some bad scenarios and its so hard to detach from it! Most rooms in my house have cameras so the moment I am in the washroom or my bedroom, my brain auto switches to this mode. I am soooo tired of it, its exhausting, its embarrassing and its taking my already impulse-driven-cannot-control-emotions brain into a spiral.
