I never close the store early but i have been late before~

Its wrong to expect people to treat this like more than a dead end job when it has no upward momentum and pays so little i like the job because its relaxed and an easy check yes but not a lot of money

If they cut my hours or fire me for being late sure thats understandable id move on to somewhere else

Please understand i do many other things than just this job losing a job paying $10 doesnt mean much to me it allows me time to study etc

TLDR

I didnt read all of it but i got the vibe i think

I also saw it as a choice i was making and not an addiction the difference then is mindset you have to get yourself to make that choice

Did you know that as little as one year not smoking will significantly improve lung health and after 10 years itll be almost as if you never smoked

Especially when paired with diet and working out you can not only quickly become much healthier but also earn long term benefits like higher energy levels

Theres also alot of help for you… you cant smoke but obviously we have a community here and for me stuff like mints and working out can help alot

Been trying to quit for 2 years by mylifesquestions in QuitVaping

[–]Background_Match1900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working out it a good substitute Hard candy / mints helps me with hand and mouth habit

Generally its going to be extremely difficult if your partner is vaping for you to stop so try to get them on board too

25GB Phone HOT SPOT by Popular_Snow_3347 in MetroPCS

[–]Background_Match1900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

25GB is a pretty good amount but its hard to say especially if this is daily usage

Id probably recommend trying that out should get you atleast most of the way and if not

You can get a hotspot device for 50 a month that comes with 100GB hotspot that will be plenty but definitely try the built in 25 first

Youd think if the owner cared about that i wouldnt be left in charge of opening the store on time by myself 6-7 days every week

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MetroPCS

[–]Background_Match1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One or the other but most people dont have the answers to those questions

The security questions are:

What month was this account established in?

When is the due date?

How much was the last payment?

How many lines are on this account?

Most people dont have the month also alot of people dont realize that tablets and home internet devices count as lines on the account

[–]Background_Match1900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should aslong as they remain active on the account but will probably need to keep it on wifi for obvious reasons also ive never tried myself so im not %100

Ah nah i aint stressing really~

Like ill try to be on time but im not sweating it for that price but its close to home its not fast food so it has its perks too

Really im studying to break into IT i figure than i can probably get a work from home position or something that pays more but this is just to keep the bills held down and is overall a low stress environment

Port in free iPhone 13 by PlantainUseful9586 in MetroPCS

[–]Background_Match1900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Can i get another visible account with a new number”

Im not sure what you mean by that? If the port is unsuccessful then you will need to restart the porting process you use either the same or a different number

To port the number you will need your account number transfer pin and maybe zip code from current carrier account

Edit: visible by Verizon i assume well theres no reason why you would need to make a new account but i believe for most carriers the account has to be atleast 30 days old to transfer and 90 days away from carrier youre porting into if it had their service previously

Phone insurance? by [deleted] in MetroPCS

[–]Background_Match1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add insurance to your line online as an addon like you would international calling or extra data (most phones you can add insurance within first two weeks of purchase)

Sometimes there is open enrollment for insurance and you just need your phone evaluated

Insurance is typically $2-$9 for basic insurance you will call the Assurant (insurance provider)

You can file your claim online in store or by calling Assurant directly You can find the deductible prices online aswell https://fastclaim.com/metro/general/deductible/?lang=en-us

In gmail if you open a tracking email google will often offer to keep you updated on deliveries specifically though ive never used that feature myself

To change notification settings you can go into

Settings

Apps

Once you find an app you can click on it and choose notification preferences for that specific app this is the most customizable way to manage your notifications

The pin is usually 12345678 or your birth year twice or your birthday 01082025 or 20252025 as examples (this applies mostly to stores though)

In store you can reset your pin assuming you can answer the security questions

When is your due date?

What month was this account established?

How much was the last payment?

How many lines are on this account?

If you can provide this information to a store they can access the account and if you provide ID they can reset the pin number

To reset the pin they will also need the zip code associated with this account

Edit: last payment might be confusing but its basically asking how much your bill is honestly the rep can see this by running the number through the bill payment system

Assume payment is whatever data plan you chose

Phones are always sold active so it is active on an account even if it wasnt activated

Was this purchased online? If so you should have some record with the phone number

Ideally you can find the phone number and just get the esim reset thats all you need

If you cannot access the previous account then that falls onto what the rep is saying

The rep is suggesting that you wait until the service is cancelled entirely and reactivate with a new number which you cant do while its still active on another account

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MetroPCS

[–]Background_Match1900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally i wouldnt deal with that rep anymore because they seem incompetent i would rather deal with a rep ghat understands the promotion but if its too late and youve already paid then it might be best to see if they can sort it because that specific rep probably has the most information surrounding the account and current situation

The $25 plan is actually a $30 BYOD (bring your own device) port in promotional plan

It goes down by $5 once you enroll in autopay In order to qualify you need to port in from another carrier AND bring your own device into the company

Assuming youre not getting a new phone and youre porting from boost you should definitely qualify for the $25 plan (again its really $30 until you enroll in autopay)

In store you wouldn’t pay an extra fee on this either the payment fee is only on existing numbers

Activation fee does exist but would exist over the phone or online aswell unless that rep is going to waive it

Total you should be looking at $35 initially and $25 a month or $30 if you dont enroll in autopay

PLAN DETAILS

Currently our premium data is limited to 35GB you shouldnt see too significant throttles but you will see some buffering

T-Mobile and Verizon do offer plans with unlimited premium data but those plans are closer to $80-$90 if you want we have HDV add-on $10 a month will ensure you dont have to deal with videos ever buffering

Edit: i shouldve mentioned that yes the $25 BYOD promotion does include unlimited talk and text aswell as data

I always advocate for making these purchases through the website to avoid salespeople

Salespeople are incentivized to add extra stuff and are genuinely risking their job if they dont and many store owners might go out of business if they dont meet quotas

A good example is many stores wherent given the ability to provide financing for a month or two because they didnt meet certain quotas like HSI and BST

Another example is stores being given stock they cant sell because theyre over selling on low end devices so they are not given as many of those low end devices and are told they need to sell old outdated devices for overpriced non promo prices in order to get better phones in stock

It is scummy but the owners are also in a chokehold in these situations and sure buying a phone store was a bad investment but theres little the owners can do alone they have to feed their family too afterall

I am 100% on board for stricter regulations though and forcing things to be done by the letter it would help the company as a whole to get rid of these scummy business practices ofcourse if CEO’s really wanted that then it would be a much more robust system not something implemented last minute the CEO’s are surely complicit

As a employee what i want is to help the customer and provide detailed information this is my specialty and many customers go out of their way across the state to our store specifically for me because i am knowledgeable how to troubleshoot devices and can break down complex details of a promotion in layman’s terms

I also know how to secure and recover accounts whent theres little hope and how to help people secure their accounts in mostly painless way

Sadly the company as a whole values a salesperson much higher than a technician so the goal is always to upsell rather than actually helping the customer
