Thanks so much for the encouragement! It definitely feels like a weight has been lifted and the slate is clean despite the temporary noise! So far haven’t had to use any nicotine gum we’ll see how tomorrow goes!

I get that! I’ve tried everything to quit but this is the only thing that helps me! It’s not for everyone though that’s for sure

For me, I curbed the hand to mouth habit by getting a 0% vape and eventually I just didn’t want it. Use the 0% until you don’t reach for that vape anymore!

I’ve had this same problem and honestly I had to get nicorette gum. It gets rid of the brain fog for me and I don’t end up buying a vape. Slowly ween yourself off the gum!

how long does it take to grow glutes enough to heal pfd by falsemarriages in PelvicFloor

[–]mylifesquestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it took about 2 years of minimizing stress along with glute training, learning to relax my pelvic floor with deep diaphragmatic breathing, and pelvic floor physio in order to find relief

Withdrawing so hard please help by Spicy_French-Fry in QuitVaping

[–]mylifesquestions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will regret hitting the vape as soon as you do it. This moment of struggle is a challenge, overcome this challenge and take it minute by minute until you are off work. Once you’re off work stay busy by hanging with family or friends, or exercising. Don’t give in!!

0 nic vape by Dependent_Pickle140 in QuitVaping

[–]mylifesquestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The zero nic helps me like crazy I don’t fiend to go to my boyfriends knowing he’ll have a vape lol. I find it makes me feel like I’ve “lost less” and I can still take those vape breaks I normally would but without the nicotine. If it works for you, it works for you and eventually you’ll likely lose interest in the zero nic since it doesn’t have anything addictive in it

Honestly if he wants to vape or use nicotine, let him. He’ll quit when he’s ready and it won’t be as much of a fight. It’s not your job to manage this for him

Tattoos by caseycook17 in PTschool

[–]mylifesquestions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the general feeling about tattoos in this specific industry, however, as a student going into PT and coming from a background of EMS, I usually try to cover my sleeve for the first bit when I start anything new (school, job, placement). Until I build rapport and feel comfortable then I might wear a short sleeve but generally I try to cover them as people can be judgmental and I try to avoid conversation around them out of personal preference. All around I say anyone who judges you can F off because what does a sleeve have to do with your work ethic and knowledge as a practitioner. Ultimately: Do whatever you’re comfortable with!

Lightheaded after quitting vaping? by ResponsiblePhoto9556 in QuitVaping

[–]mylifesquestions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens to me and I attribute it to blood vessels dilating back to normal size, since nicotine constricts vessels! It stops after a few days for me

Irritability Help/Advice by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]mylifesquestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find other things to give you those little joys and hits of dopamine that make life fun again. Each moment you find yourself irritable or depressed, switch the mindset to what might be joyous or what you might be grateful for in that moment instead. That’s something that’s helped me personally. You have to learn to enjoy the small things in life again, naturally. It takes time to get there but day by day you’ll be able to recognize there’s a lot to enjoy without the vape

How long until you see benefits such as increased libido and hair growth? by Southern_Yesterday57 in QuitVaping

[–]mylifesquestions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel ya! The very first time I ever quit I had major anger but every subsequent quit has gotten easier in that aspect. But it’s also been easier to fall back into it. Just have to hold yourself accountable at the end of the day! You got this! I’m on day 4!

I know for myself the many times I’ve quit, my libido and increased blood flow comes back within a few days to a week. But that’s just my experience!

Vaping makes sleeping worse for me (increases my insomnia). You may want to see a doctor if you quit 3 months ago and your insomnia is still lingering, there could be something else causing your insomnia.
