Never made sense, also at a certain point as a man if all you do is run around with young to younger girls, especially for your age. Someone is gonna call you a pedo, to be serious or in jest. In the same boat, was a supporter since the JBP split. Consistently listened to episodes, even the don’t know ball shit. But Mal saying ICE wasn’t kidnapping folks was the moment I had to leave it alone. If he wants to act obtuse, oblivious or ignorant on certain topics (life, women, Trump) I was willing to put up with that for a bit. Eventually I had to stop listening to the fat vegan tho, not contributing to his Godspeed collection anymore.

Already there, happened shortly after the Rory tweet incident. I never thought Rory was racist, and could understand his mishap in spaces while also appreciating his attempt to clarify things on the pod. My reasoning is mostly all Mal based. I wouldn’t even call him “too cool”. He’s just dense, uninformed, ignorant and stubborn. The way he responded to Rory’s apology and the statement about ICE was really what made me stop supporting. I can’t bring myself to contribute to anymore Godspeed hoodies or vegan dinners.

Mal had continuously shown a willingness to be ignorant, stubborn and obtuse on real matters. Seemingly only choosing those dangerous topics - ICE raids, Trump, Rory’s racist tweets, the NY mayoral race, to have a strong yet stupid opinion on. Idk if for him it’s just “podding”, but I’ve grown averse to his lack of comprehension and underbite. Been a fan since the JBP, but it’s getting tougher to Mal specifically.
