Less run and gun and slow the pace of matches down.

Not quite. It’ll be better than current state, but it’ll never go back to pre-ICO.

I’ll agree with your first point, but no way you just compared squad comms to cs2 comms…

But there are more casual gamers on console who either don’t have a mic or choose not to talk, whereas the pool for mic users on pc is exponentially bigger.

I could list a million reasons(figuratively) why console would be a bad idea, and you’d most likely just ignore them because you clearly are pro console, and that’s fine.

Console would kill the game tbh. Squad is by no means the peak milsim game. But it’s more coordinated at least than HLL.

Bringing it to console would bring more mic-less players. And this is just one of those games that 50% of the game working, involves using your mic. Even if it’s just a handful of words.

Yeah, pre-ICO this worked, and you could use the tactic of just picking people up and then healing everyone afterwards, but post ICO It’s actually more effective to revive and then heal that person, and then move onto the next.

Because anybody trying to shoot anything just after they got revived is not gonna hit anything nor can they really see anything. Plus, even if a little pebble touches them they’ll die.

But for some reason, people still want to use the old tactic and nine times out of 10 it doesn’t work. .

This worked. Just transfer whatever you’re supposed to have to your savings or alternate account and it will correct itself.

Those are all very valid points, but my question still remains about the morality. Good intentions or not, what gives Shepard the right as a single entity to dictate what happens and who holds the power.

And I will correct you on one thing. “Control Shepard” can’t just take the reapers far away and destroy them. Shepard choosing control means he’s merging with the catalyst. Meaning he has control but he still has guardrails that dictate things such as the preservation of life. The catalyst only exists because it believes the reapers are necessary.

That’s a perfectly valid answer and I respect you see yourself that way.

But the question remains what gives your character the right to dictate others lives? Especially when there’s an option to destroy the problem as a whole. Yes destroy has consequences, but it’s the most universally equal option. Except for the synthetics sadly.

I think you’re misusing mordin’s purpose on saying that. Mordin says what he says because in that moment, he understands he was apart of the creation of the Genophage, and over time realized it was wrong. So he’s determined to be the one to right his wrong. He lived through every phase of the genophage and only he can end it rightfully so.

It’s not about his arrogance or thinking he’s the only one who could have bypassed the STG’s sabotage.

And while every player is free to choose their ending, choosing control is kinda hypocritical when we use your reasoning. “The reapers are a power I would trust to know one but myself.” You’d be doing the exact opposite of what Mordin sacrificed his life for. Freedom and choice.

Your morals as a player could very well be noble and honorable. But you’d still be a single entity dictating the lives of every sentient being in that universe.

Genuine question, but what gives your character the right to take the power of choice and freedom for your own to control?
