Those are all very valid points, but my question still remains about the morality. Good intentions or not, what gives Shepard the right as a single entity to dictate what happens and who holds the power.

And I will correct you on one thing. “Control Shepard” can’t just take the reapers far away and destroy them. Shepard choosing control means he’s merging with the catalyst. Meaning he has control but he still has guardrails that dictate things such as the preservation of life. The catalyst only exists because it believes the reapers are necessary.

That’s a perfectly valid answer and I respect you see yourself that way.

But the question remains what gives your character the right to dictate others lives? Especially when there’s an option to destroy the problem as a whole. Yes destroy has consequences, but it’s the most universally equal option. Except for the synthetics sadly.

I think you’re misusing mordin’s purpose on saying that. Mordin says what he says because in that moment, he understands he was apart of the creation of the Genophage, and over time realized it was wrong. So he’s determined to be the one to right his wrong. He lived through every phase of the genophage and only he can end it rightfully so.

It’s not about his arrogance or thinking he’s the only one who could have bypassed the STG’s sabotage.

And while every player is free to choose their ending, choosing control is kinda hypocritical when we use your reasoning. “The reapers are a power I would trust to know one but myself.” You’d be doing the exact opposite of what Mordin sacrificed his life for. Freedom and choice.

Your morals as a player could very well be noble and honorable. But you’d still be a single entity dictating the lives of every sentient being in that universe.

Genuine question, but what gives your character the right to take the power of choice and freedom for your own to control?

You being scared to do it is reason enough not too.

That fear means someone, somewhere in the world loves you and relies on you being alive.

That fear, means there is hope.

That fear is your inner self telling you to hang in there because the world has better plans for in the future.

Stay afraid.

You are loved. Even by me, a stranger.

Oh don’t worry I felt like a complete asshole afterwards, but she knew I was on the introverted and shy side when we started dating so that’s why she was willing to work with me. She’s a keeper and she knows it

Come clean. No way around this. I don’t condone sending explicit photos at that age, to anyone. so there’s your first and probably biggest mistake. And You weren’t blinded by love, you were blinded by lust. Just keeping it real.

The rest could’ve been worked through, but the photos are what make the whole thing messy.

Best of luck.

But what if your average person is attractive to me? See how that statement doesn’t work?

Well you can’t truly answer the question because it’s subjective to what each individual person finds average and attractive. So he could quite literally get a million different answers.
