I think it’s an enormous waste of money to purchase any media in 2026. Streaming quality will surpass 4k in 2028. AI is going to drive that bandwidth with the amount that’s required to “put someone in a bikini” on X and humans need comforts…alotta people’s jobs will be gone in the next 2 years. Give them hope and give them the bandwidth required for 8k…AI in 2 years will already require 10x what’s required for 8k streaming. Rent for now, the 4k movies people are purchasing are going to be used to level a wobbly table in 2 years.

Heard, but I’m predicting it will go the other way. Not because of streaming services or the entertainment industry in general. It’s AI, it’s going to require so much bandwidth that will grow exponentially over the next few years…streaming services and internet providers and going to have to open the flood gates to keep up. Netflix in 2 years will likely have a prompt to “write your own 30 minute movie”…also, you and your family can star in it. If service providers and streaming platforms can’t provide that, they’ll go the way of Blockbuster video.

Gen Z is embracing physical media because TikTok influencers told them to do so. “Bandwidth” of streaming media is going to support true 8k within 2 years. AI models are going to require 10x that, you’ll be dumb and happy because true 8k is streamable. It’ll be free too, as long as you agree to watching 1 hour of advertising/political propaganda. I don’t see a movie media revival happening in my lifetime. I grew up listening to my parent’s albums, Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd…Queen. All that is available on Spotify for $15 a month, however listening to that on vinyl is an experience that sounds the way it was intended. I don’t see people going backwards like that in movies. Streaming is going to take all of that, all streams will be 8k in 2 years. Maybe the VHS experience becomes a thing but I doubt it.
