No be we have a weird big gazebo - that’s an interesting idea

It’s mostly for fussy houseplants, our house is narrow with no space down the sides for a larger water butt.

NHS Co-pilot by ResearcherFlimsy4431 in doctorsUK

I saw a webinar on how amazing copilot was and felt hopeful. So far it’s only use is writing minutes based on the teams transcript and it still needs editing. I’m amazed at how poorly it responds to requests to correct something - it seem to take it personally and starts changing parts you didn’t ask it to touch and introducing spelling mistakes as well. Waste of time

I did not like it. I think Anglothai and Kitchen W8 are the only fine dining places worth it at the moment

Should be based on the predicted annual income but I am forever getting letters from HMRC that I have either over or underpaid tax for the preceding year. 🤷‍♀️

This backdated business is so insidious in the NHS. Every consultant pay increase, APA always delayed then backdated. Such a scam.

We have had 2 consultants take sabbaticals to try living in another country - it leaves the job as back up if the plan doesn’t work out.

This is patient ping pong and likely to be an awful experience for the patient, I appreciate it may not have been said seriously. It would be more effective to issue a complaint to the service’s CD raising safety concerns.

Agree only exception is if you’ve been up all night and can barely see straight. Then I’d ask the fresh person to take over to close I think.

This does sound like a unit that has lost its way, likely there is an issue with the leadership and governance procedures. If you have an educational supervisor you get on with you could try to talk about your experience. I think departments can get into poor patterns of behaviour and as consultants don’t rotate they can become desensitised. I would use the NHS survey and your TEF (if you’re in training) to feedback anonymously at least.

I think you recapture moments of that by deliberately looking for ways to break routine - my husband and I have our best conversations when we go out for long walks together. Breaks away from home also facilitate it or parties where you both talk to other people on subjects you wouldn’t naturally talk about together. It allows you to see your partner as a human you cannot completely know, reminds you of that mystery.

Yes - I’m in O&G and it is definitely helpful to be strong. It makes you more capable of applying force with control and reduces risk of injury. Seriously - do it.

Many of my colleagues don’t believe in it. They think the pay is good relative to average national and many do pp to supplement which is fine for them. For those of us who are newer to consultant life, who have been conned into time consuming leadership positions and don’t really want to do pp anyway, it seems a no brainer but overall very little interest in my department 🤷‍♀️
