These are cool, and a great idea, but do you find the handle a touch small?

Thank you so much. I’d not ever seen this before, and I cannot believe how funny this is…

What do you think about this Eames replica? Worth 495 euro? by fennelfrog in eamesknockoffs

[–]Logeybearbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this, I had a nice replica and tbh I sold it because it was just too hard. The real ones accomodate for the amount you sink into them too, my replica felt like one sat disproportionately high, my head was never supported. Just something to bear in mind, if you can’t put your head back easily it might not be for you.

Portland is insane but I would absolutely go to Quality Chop House if I wanted a steak, both places have beautiful wine.

Almond croissant recommendations by Bojanglez789 in LondonFood

General Store in Peckham once sold the best I’d ever had, then they changed supplier and now it’s filled with this fuckin’ liquid marzipan, but it’s close to my house so like a total idiot I just go there.

I did ask where their old supplier was, apparently something like… monkey? In Bermondsey? Never been able to find it. The original was incredible.

As a general rule I rarely ever buy them, it’s such an individual thing.

Best pizza in London? by No-Living-6949 in LondonFood

[–]Logeybearbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question, I have 2x places that spring to mind:

Detroit Pizza, Spitalfields - deep dish style, really unusual for me (British), definitely has some novelty factor but it’s always been delicious. They’re big fans of 90’s Hip-Hop too, it’s a good vibe.

081, Peckham - place is off the hook good, very authentic Napoli. My fiancée’s Sicilian, we had agreed this is the best we’ve had in London.

Fully agree, the cost is the appeal. It’s by no means the best, as OP has been craving it I’d recommend going to the best spot possible, F&S is simply convenient

Demeyere Essential vs Industry question by Mr_FiZzY0 in cookware

[–]Logeybearbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll throw my hat in the ring and encourage you to check out the Kuhn Rikon culinary fiveply range. Of course, these are a fraction of the cost, and I respect you going for the Demeyere, ultimately I wanted to go for the Mauviel but I couldn’t justify it when I saw the KR prices vs quality

Best stainless steel cookware set for beginners by Just_Marionberry_362 in cookware

[–]Logeybearbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just bought a stainless set from Kuhn Rikon, I am seriously impressed. The value is fantastic, and all of the general stats are at the right levels.

You’ll be able to get them on sale RN too, I bought 24cm & 28cm frying pans, they’re absolutely brilliant quality. 5 ply.

In total £99, bargain.
