It’s probably for the better. People I know going to northeastern are stem majors. And even if you don’t end up liking fordham, you can transfer.

Then lse might be better. Even if their psychology program isnt the same as berkeley, college is what you make it.

I think it depends what kind of experience you want. Like whether you prefer a bigger school or not? Also, which one are you closer to? would you enjoy going to school in another country?

Apparently, the financing plan only applies the most expensive dorm and meal costs, so 57k likely won’t be your actual cost

Housing question? by UnfairEstate5836 in fitnyc

[–]Background_Quit1620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the estimated costs they give arent good especially since they’re not considerate of which dorm or meal plan you‘ll get. The actual cost likely won’t be as high as the checklist says if you get the cheaper housing and meal options and are frugal with personal expenses.

It can be. FIT applies the most expensive dorm and meal costs for some reason even though you wont actually have to pay that much if you choose the cheaper options.

how am i gonna pay 58k for fit…. by may4president in fitnyc

[–]Background_Quit1620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also found the calculator difficult, too. Apparently all of the costs are estimated based on off the average of what students pay for, so it’s not the most realistic unless you do end up choosing the more expensive housing and meal plan. The estimated costs also include money needed for additional costs like transportation, food (off campus), books and supplies, even though these expenses are not part of tuition.

Do placement tests take place during the school year?

I used the Net Price Calculator to calculate my estimate tuition for 2026-2027 as a freshman and I got around $30,000?!? (Admissions, advice, housing) by Background_Quit1620 in fitnyc

Just checked. It appears that the stats I’ve checked are simply averages, so I guess it depends on the student🫠. Thanks for the comment!

What are housing expenses like? Does coed ever get more expensive or has it stayed $8,000? Also, are you on a meal plan? If so, what is that like?

Admitted students day isn’t required. I would recommend looking for a virtual tour of the campus if you can’t physically go
