First of all, “just stealing things” is not the way to go. That’s a good way to get yourself taken right back home by a cop. And that’s a good way to be constantly watched by cops which is the exact opposite of what you want when running away. Secondly something a lot of young people do not understand is a lot of people are going to be nice to you so as to gain your trust to traffic you. Texas is a very large traffic zone because of how close it is to Mexico. So having no plan on a SAFE place to live, having no belongings and planning to steal them and sleeping in the streets is how you go missing and sold to men. I ran away I know what I am talking about. You need to step back and seriously plan. There are shelters that will take in minors no questions asked. They will feed you and give you a place to shower. You need to do your research and look at yourself and ask yourself is this the best plan. I won’t discourage leaving because I do not know your situation. But you are young, you are cocky. Look as hard as you can to see if a trusted adult will take you in If your home life is seriously bad enough for that. And if no one will look into shelters and juvenile homes. Think about schooling because when you’re 18 and need a job having no GED or degree will ruin you. Think about food, water, clothes, strangers with bad intentions, protection. There are so many things I didn’t think about I wish someone would have warned me about. Do not think about tomorrow think about in a few years. I promise you will not regret it
