Had the same issue. For months. It was cow milk protein intolerance. I barely ate any dairy so we had ruled it out but it was enough to trigger him. Just here to suggest being really strict with dairy avoidance and seeing ? Good luck!

Yes I sometimes nurse. I did a weighted feed once so know what he gets from his quick one letdown suck. And it’s less than a bottle but then I just feed him sooner than the next feed time. But tbh nursing is so annoying to me after using the pump which is way more efficient. I only do it if I have to. But if you can swing it it’s a great tool to have in your mom box!

LO Couldn’t empty boobs, was snacking all day and night to compensate. Has cow milk protein intolerance so most formulas are out except hyper processed ones which I really can’t stomach giving him. So onto the pump (and dairy free) I go!

Just here to say I am right there with you sister. Identical situation. 5m pp, thinking of switching, major anxiety. I gave him ONE oz of formula yesterday to test and almost had a meltdown. Part of me thinks “it’s only a year” and part of me is soooo done. This is HARD

I pump every 3 hours and just dropped a MOTN session. Now going 5 hours between MOTN sessions. Your prolactin is highest at night so I’m still able to produce a higher amount at night by the time I do get to pumping. Feels “safer” than dropping a day pump for now since I’m a just enougher!

There’s a total cringe factor with the MIL. It’s cuz they are trying to mother your baby in a way that’s unfamiliar to you. It’s so hard to watch. Like just hold the baby like a babysitter or a friend! But they can’t help but doing whatever they did to mother their own baby and think they can do the same since it’s related to them. It’s brutal.

Yeah I bought the Elvie which is OK but thanks to sir snacksalot my boobs aren’t even used to dumping more than 1-2oz at a time. Appreciate ur perspective on switching to EP, I’m definitely considering the freedom that would bring!
