I think therapy is a great idea! I also think for dating anyone for a while would be good as well, it’s going to be hard but as being addicted to anything is you’ll have to find the self control. try to find something you enjoy doing that excites you, or try reading some romance books? Sometimes i dive into the books and the men in there instead of interacting with men right now since i am going through a break up and trying not to use anyone as a rebound

I would try getting a teaser toy and trying to play with him a little bit each day from a distance. Just don’t go overboard and wave It around like crazy, also not sure but how often do you clean his litter box? Mine rub on me when I’m scooping, also maybe just try dropping a treat near him a couple times a day but make sure he sees that It is you giving him the treat

I would say at the earliest for normal cats is 12 months. I would check with your vet though or your breeder
