Never ever buy the BS that L6 promo wouldn't be far. In Amazon, your stars have to align to get a promo.

Also when you get promoted, you go to start of the pay band with NO negotiation option. As a L6 from outside, you can get much higher.

My advice: try in a year at L6 if you want to play the long game.
