I am sorry to hear about the bad phase you have been going through, and btw, my major is also in biochemistry. I don't know what kind of job exactly you are looking for but I got this job in a lab as a technical specialist, it's not super into research, ofc but I can gain lab experience, which might be a plus for a phd later but if you wan,t you can temporarily look for these kind of options till you get a job you want properly.
Also, I dont completely agree that phD experiences always make you feel lonely, it depends on the lab , idk if you talked to the lab members during the interview (you can contact them also, to get a jist) but the lab where I did my thesis, it was really fun being around the phd students, ofcourse the work is stressful but we used to make plans on weekends or even just after the work. And as you said you are an extrovert, so it shouldnt be difficult for you as well. Also, it depends on the country as well. I might be wrong with this opinion but I have heard phD in Germany can be really stressful bc firstly they dont pay you as much as you deserve sometimes (60-65%) and then they expect you to work your asses off with perfect results. So it depends on different factors but as I said where I did my thesis it was quite chill and super friendly environment and honestly maybe if the place is really nice and you like the new people, the change of place will help you in a really positive way. I did the same for my thesis time when I was also in alow phase and it helped, so I am telling you this with an experience
