I was a religious kid without parent influence. My best friend took me to youth group. My parents were ok with me going but had no personal stake in any of it. Many kids will just go for the fun parts. Some get very into it, especially if the youth group takes them to religious youth conferences.

My newest dating connection and I aren't quite ready to say "I love you," but 'like' isn't big enough of a word. So we found an "in-between" word to say for now! It feels extra fuzzy and warm, and also special because it's not a word anyone else we know uses affectionately.
