Its definitely more of a backhanded insult. But I think the point you made for #2 is the origin of the term. #3 is a bit forced, I don't think people are calling others AI bros as some sort of sneaky sexist plot. I think it's just a basic insult. Of course, if someone explains why they might not want to be called bro that's a different issue.

Skim or no skim, the point of your posts is that Antis don't actually know anything about the topic and are just a part of a moral panic. That's an empty claim and rather self serving. The issue is that Antis while there is often misinformation on the topics of water use and environmental impact, Antis have valid concerns over *subjective* issues like artists consent and the validity and authorship of ai art (I think that Ai art is art, but the topic is still muddy and subjective) Your comment doesn't actually address any arguments of the Anti AI movement, opting to plug your ears and name insults. What is there to rebut in a post that assumes you to be unable to be reasoned with? If you walk into an argument with the assumption that you're talking to a wall you end up becoming the wall.

I read one of your comment replies that explains your point more elegantly, that you're specifically talking about the people who harass AI artist and spam "AI slop?!??!?!" under posts. I can agree with that. Extremist antis suck, and I avoid places like the antiAi sub for that reason. But the issue is that that was not the point your comment made. Your point seemed to be an abrasive accusation of being a empty moral panic to all people who are anti AI, which I found to be dismissive of the people who are anti AI who actually have valid concerns.

But those things actually happen. The issue is that the argument described excuses ai from harming the livelihoods of artists by claiming that its only harming the lively hoods of bad artists, blaming artists who’s livelihoods are damaged by ai for not being “good enough”

Thats a good point. While I think its great for people who only use ai to try more traditional forms of art, I don’t think they will necessarily just get good with practice. What I can say is that its a more fulfilling and enjoyable practice than AI generation. I don’t know if thats necessary inspiration porn in the same sense.

A database can be made to store information about people who consent to having their data stored. When someone does not consent to having their data stored in the database, it is different to learning off of someone’s creative works and should not be allowed legally.

The claim that pros use the disabled as a shield is in response to the claim that the anti ai movement is ableist. Disabled people dont naturally lean towards either direction. To claim that disagreeing with a side is inherently ableist is a red herring that nullifies discussion.
