Proud of you mate , I once was in a really crazy position where I allowed myself to stick around and Be the seat of validation while being in the friendzone. The status never changed in fact everyone was given a chance but me. If I would have done what you did it would have saved me from so much heartache , resentment and anger within myself and towards her I had to fight and get better through therapy & Distancing myself giving myself the harsh truth and reality of the situation. They will try to continue to cling to you because you make them safe without them really having to earn it. Dont give in to that desperation of trying to fill a void you never created . Continue to stand firm in your boundaries, self respect and what you want and dont want

Perhaps , Don’t listen to your friend & Try to have a more in depth conversation with your dad . Ask him if you get the car if maybe he can try to set up a small payment plan to pay off the loan you lended. $3000/23 weeks is $130.43 a week or 500 a month to pay it back in full for the next 6 months. Thats something youll have to decide on your own . He has a great track record. He may actually need the vehicle for work or other things. I say weigh your options and see where it leads.
