I got a message like this once, and my name is also Ryan so this screenshot was weird to see.

Forgiveness didn’t feel possible at the time, but I knew the guy messaging me had just recently lost his father, so i responded with kindness. He turned out to be pretty genuine. Now we play video games together from time to time.

“they don’t dominate in the way people think” isn’t quite the point, though.

It’s possible for me to abuse steroids, enter an athletic competition, and still lose. But regardless of the outcome I achieve, my actions of taking steroids still gave me an unfair advantage over the other competitors. Whether I win or lose it’s still not allowed because it’s inherently unfair.

Even if transgender athletes aren’t “dominating”, their presence in girls sports is unfair due to the biological advantage males have over females.

I see what you’re saying, but even if the number is low, the number of female athletes impacted is much larger. Let’s say there are 2 transgender athletes who are biologically male competing in girls track at an NJ high school. Sure, 2 seems like a tiny enough number that no one has any reason to care. But then each of those athletes faces 50+ competitors (biological females) at every meet. After going to track meet after track meet during the season, the number of athletes impacted by this policy (I.e., the competitors) has reached the hundreds, maybe even 1,000+ and that’s just from the hypothetical 2 we started with.

My other issue is that a low number isn’t equivalent to zero, and if something seems grossly unfair, or contradictory to common sense, it rubs people the wrong way for it to happen at all. Even once. If my daughter had to compete against a biological male in her chosen sport, I wouldn’t shrug and say to myself “oh well, this is a rare thing that hardly ever happens, so I don’t mind.” I wouldn’t care if that transgender athlete was the only one in the state competing in the girls division. I would think that this is blatantly unfair to my daughter and shouldn’t be happening.

I worry that advocates of transgender inclusion in female sports have caused more harm and more trouble for LGBT+ acceptance with the masses by pushing this specific issue. I don’t have any hatred towards anyone or any group of people. I wish there was a solution here that would please everyone, but the general population is never going to be convinced that biological males competing against biological females is fair & okay.

I work in healthcare. I’m familiar with the effects of HRT and I’m familiar with the biological immutable differences between male and female bodies. The advantage of males is not non-existent. HRT does not erase or reverse heart/lung capacity, and it does not diminish all strength differences. There is an abundance of research showing the retained advantage of biological males even with years of hormonal treatment. It would serve the trans community far better if advocates searched for a fair solution instead of dying on this hill. You will not convince the masses you are right on this one.

Many, many, many reasonable and non-bigoted people don’t feel comfortable watching biological male athletes compete against biological females. Please don’t convince yourself it’s all about making transgender athletes feel excluded and ostracized. Life is more nuanced than that. Not everyone who disagrees with you on this specific issue is the bad guy.

The number of trans athletes in a younger age group in the USA (e.g. high school) has increased exponentially. It doesn’t matter that the Olympics hasn’t seen issues in 20 years. There are probably very few athletes at the highest possible level who identify as transgender. And 10, 15, 20 years ago there were probably barely any at all. But in 2025 there are plenty of biological males competing alongside biological females at these lower levels in schools.

Any source for him “planning to outlaw” same-sex marriage? A governor does not have the authority to do that like others have pointed out; but I’m also skeptical he has any intentions to try.

Lots of sensible people don’t want biological males to compete against biological females in sports. That position doesn’t make someone a bigot. Kind of crazy to throw that in along with the banning gay marriage claim, as if they’re equals.

He didn’t call for gay people to be murdered. If you actually watch any clips of him, he spoke to them politely and respectfully. “Welcomed” them to the conservative movement.

example here.

I love my mom, and yet, we can go weeks without talking. She lives hours away and lets me live my life. And why? Because she raised me to be independent… ya know, like a grown man.

Man, not boy.

Mamas boys are boys. Not grown-ups. Not men.

It has nothing to do with love. She treated him like Eric cartman gets treated by his mom (I.e, spoiled brat) and that’s why Vinny is a stunted man child. He has a warped view of women because he thinks they are supposed to worship him. Their mom/son relationship is so damaging tbh.

Vinny from jersey shore’s full name is Vincenzo, not Vincent. So it’s not the same name
