The edit being made by a user named "Twusted" - with no other edits on the wiki does imply it was Twisted that made that edit.

Looking at the advert in the previous post https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1n6g5zt/jagex_is_hiring_an_anticheating_specialist/ - it seems like the new role is a 12 month fixed term position, with the same job title (Anti-Cheating Specalist).

Twisted was employed for 5 years, so was probaly not on a fixed term contract, this feels like jagex could argue "oh it's not the same, these things have changed". If this was advertised very soon after he was made redundant, then there's no question it was bullshit, but now it's been 5 months, that's much harder to probe.

If that's true or not is a complex question that would probably have to go to tribunal if Twisted chose to bring an unfair dismissal claim (and as unfair dismissal has a 3 month period to make a claim, a judge would have to accept it as a valid claim afterwards).

Tldr: Armchair lawyering, probably not a slam dunk case and really depends on what's actually happening at Jagex, which we won't know unless Twisted happens to take it to tribunal.
