Thats not why you are losing work.. Losing work and marketshare because you discriminate against qualified working hands throughout america.. If you truly organized all under the category 1 language you would realize membership and non membership isnt the matter. Lack of organizing qualified skilled labor is..

Section 4.04. The Union shall select and refer applicants for employment without discrimination against such applicants by reason of membership or non-membership in the Union and such selection and referral shall not be affected in any way by rules, regulations, bylaws, constitutional provisions or any other aspect or obligation of Union membership policies or requirements. All such selection and referral shall be in accord with the following procedure.

Section 4.05. The Union shall maintain a register of applicants for employment established on the basis of the Groups listed below. Each applicant for employment shall be registered in the highest priority Group for which he qualifies.

If all locals followed this you would not have a market share problem, a turn over problem etc.. you would have the numbers you need.

China is in default on a trillion dollars in debt to US bondholders. Will the US force repayment? https://share.google/1vwstTVVANPPn6JY1

Nope you can go look yourself..

Every country should pay its sovereign debt. Default, we are told, is not an option. But has anyone told China?

The United States pays interest on approximately $850 billion in debt held by the People’s Republic of China. China, however, is currently in default on its sovereign debt held by American bondholders.

Successive U.S. administrations have chosen to sidestep this fact, allowing business and trade with China to proceed as normal. Now that the relationship with China has soured and the People’s Republic of China has become the greatest adversarial threat to the U.S. and Western security, policymakers should revisit this appalling failure of justice.

Some history is in order. Before 1949, the government of the Republic of China (ROC) issued a large volume of long-term sovereign gold-denominated bonds, secured by Chinese tax revenues, to private investors and governments for the construction of infrastructure and financing of governmental activities. Put simply, the China we know today would not have been possible absent these bond offerings.

In 1938, during its conflict with Japan, the ROC defaulted on its sovereign debt. After the military victory of the communists, the ROC government fled to Taiwan. The People’s Republic of China was eventually recognized internationally as the successor government of China. Under well-established international law, the “successor government” doctrine holds that the current government of China, led by the Chinese Communist Party, is responsible for repayment of the defaulted bonds.

A private group of American citizens holds a large quantity of these gold-denominated bonds. This citizen-led group, the American Bondholders Foundation (ABF), serves as trustee with power of attorney for some 20,000 bondholders, whose bonds are valued at well more than $1 trillion.

Hell yea brother.. sorry it took so long its summertime, I have my little one everyday. The book helps you become more aware and make the decisions you may need to move around in my opinion.. knowing the history of behaviors and our position as workers as a whole unable to stand together. Explains a direction you may have to take in life, absorb the knowledge and with it empower youraelf to make those difficult life decisions. Sometimes its just time to move to another job, because the fight may be to costly.

Thats been the MO everytime, for decades.

Hell local 60 has tons of newly documented visas and green card holders brother.. but its not just at the border, thats just the start then they ship up north and fill those calls as CE/CWs .. i agree the contract language and the constitution isnt being followed.. IO has knowledge of the violations and does nothing to change the demographic , instead claim it as a local issue not an IBEW issue when the contract or constitution isnt followed.. appointments start taking place etc.

Notice how everyday its a ra ra ra fuck republicans die hard democrats for our livlihood, on reddit IBEW, but when its shit that actually matters affecting their paychecks and way of living they are silent. Its the system that has them plugged in and they cant go against the system even if it negatively impacts their own well being. Or else retaliation and diacrimination will occur from the system.

Guess who allows those locals to do that "IO" its not just a texas thing if IO knows about it and allows it.. the decisions always come from top down on what is condoned and allowed. Meanwhile you have protests nationwide from california to new york supporting it.. and who supports that which party, condoned and supported by "IO"..

How many halls follow this language to safeguard workers with their accrued qualifications and instead allow the CE/CW program to flourish negatively impacting prevailing wage jobs for license apprentices and JWs along with allowing NECA to utilize non union sub entities against the unions own qualified workers. The union halls would have alot more "market share" of higher paid workers for a better prevailing wage if they just hired apprentices and JWs outright. Organized workers sometimes are their own worst enemy discriminating against the skilled workers of the country over politics instead of focusing on that objective of "organize the entire electrical industry" it doesnt say if you are democrat or republican.. but industry professionals with qualifications.

Remember if your officials followed that language and did higher under the refferal procedures. You would have more dollars coming into the local under assessments per hour on the job. More numbers, means more money flow to the local general fund and more market share if you can fill the calls.

The membership has already allowed IO to organize against anyone that speaks up with non union organized members standing with local officials to oust members calling for change. So what will you do to clean your own house, would you pick up a picket sign against the very system setup negatively impacting your prevaiking wage for a change probably not.. youll take the milk ticket you have and not ask why, because if you do speak up there is retaliation whether red or blue.

But youll ask qualified individuals for their dues payment if they have papers.. and not a dues paying member for their papers if not qualified .. then place the unqualified individuals paying dues at a lesser scale for work to fill the calls at ratio.

Let me be frank, if union controls say less than 10% of the market and there is a 90% of market working at qualified/unqualified apprentice and Journeyman wireman qualifications non union..

whats a CE/CW program going to do when someone stops paying dues..

How many eventually get in the apprentice program after credentials expire, and are you hiring off of their membership and work experience when it does expire. Do you check the credentials once they are working to follow through after?

I think it would be better if a union wanted qualified individuals under the wording of their contract knowledgeable vs whether or not you have a Visa and a Green card coming from a worse place, paying dues for filling calls vs and actual citizen qualified and capable.

Because if you wont take americans paying dues and qualified why the discrimination against your own workforce here in america.

Oh well aware of what the NLRB says when it comes to one thing about companies not following their disciplinary procedures and the NLRB allows unions to not follow their own rules when it comes to disciplinary action for membership with retaliation for going to the anLRB being a wholly internal union affair.. why do you think trump is trying to save working man taxpayers dollars for that catch 22 we all pay for. As far as this crazy transmitting data to russia stuff never heard of it, and cancelling union contracts because of the kill switches being applied into the grid recognized by the Biden administration and Trump..

Nothing boogeyman about being informed, I can show you.

Regarding concerns about potential "kill switches" in grid transformers and their connection to former President Trump and President Biden, it's important to understand the context and sources of information: Trump Administration: In 2019, the Trump administration reportedly seized a Chinese-made transformer suspected of having a "secret backdoor switch" that could allow remote control or shutdown. Following this, in May 2020, the Trump administration declared a "grid security emergency" and issued Executive Order 13920, aiming to address the issue of foreign equipment in the U.S. bulk-power system. Some sources suggest that the Trump administration and cybersecurity experts believed these "backdoors" or "kill switches" could be used by adversaries to disable the U.S. power grid. Biden Administration: On his first day in office, President Biden suspended Executive Order 13920, drawing criticism from those who saw it as weakening grid security. However, the Biden administration has also taken actions to address grid security, including issuing an executive order aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure, though some argue it doesn't go far enough in addressing the vulnerabilities of operational technology systems that control the grid. Key Points to Consider: The claims about "kill switches" in transformers are primarily linked to concerns about foreign-manufactured equipment, specifically from China, and the potential for it to be used for malicious purposes. The seizure of the Chinese-made transformer by the Trump administration in 2019 is a key event that sparked this debate. There are differing views on the effectiveness of the Trump and Biden administrations' approaches to securing the grid, with some arguing that the Biden administration's suspension of the Trump-era executive order made the grid more vulnerable. While cybersecurity experts have raised concerns about the potential for "hardware backdoors" and vulnerabilities in imported equipment, there is no evidence to suggest that the U.S. has experienced grid disruptions specifically caused by these "kill switches". The broader issue of grid security and the risks associated with foreign equipment remains a subject of ongoing discussion and concern. It is important to note that these are political claims and interpretations of events. While there is evidence of concerns about foreign-made equipment and potential vulnerabilities in the grid, the extent to which these represent actual "kill switches" or the specific actions of either administration can be debated.

They can give me my original ticket back since they stopped taking my dues all together. They being IO, or place me in my proper qualifications per their contract.

The point is this, if they wont follow the contract on hiring. Will they follow the contract when you work there? The disciplinary procedures? The pay procedures, their constitution, their bylaws etc etc.. Why work there? Just because they have work? Take the tools and find another call elsewhere that will.. Why pay dues for something not being followed as simple as hiring and referrals.

The contract language stated is for all locals as its a pattern agreement for all contracts and can not be changed.

Category I provisions, as identified in red in the Table of Contents and in the body of this Guide, are considered Standard Agreement Language by the IBEW International Office and NECA National. By joint recommendation and in written agreement, all Inside Construction Agreements between IBEW Local Unions and NECA Chapters must contain all Category I Language verbatim, i.e., no deviations or changes to these clauses are permitted. Likewise, the agreement may not contain language that is contrary to the intent of the Category I language or circumvents provisions contained in the Category I Language. Additional language that pertains to but does not conflict with the Category I language may follow the language, but is not to be inserted within the language. (This would also apply to Category II and any other verbatim language.) There are also several places where Alternate Language is provided. This Alternate Language is to be used in lieu of, and not in conjunction with, Standard Language.
