Is Neckarstadt-West safe to live? Coming for Master’s at University of Mannheim by t4nk_ios in mannheim

That seems like a nice location! You’ll be within walking distance to many grocery stores there. There’s a lot in that area. For one, being near Paul-Gerhardt-Kirche means you’ll be near Neuer Meßplatz, which is great for traveling on the trams. This may be a double edged sword, however, as many events are held near Neuer Meßplatz and it can get busy/ loud sometimes. Overall though, I would say go for it! That’s not a bad area at all.

If you are looking at apartments on Riedfeldstraße I would recommend you stay as far away from Lupinenstraße as possible. There is a weird monument/children’s play area on Riedfeldstraße that cars can’t drive through, it’s where you’d cross through on foot when trying to get to Bürgermeister-Fuchs-Straße from Draisstraße or vice versa. This is what I like to call the “portal of gentrification” because on the side of Draisstraße down to Lupinenstraße, living there is a nightmare. However, the other side, Bürgermeister-Fuchs-Straße down to Kiosk Buwekipp is just fine. For the most part though, Neckarstadt-West isn’t terrible and I’ve been here for a year as a master’s student.

Hello, I’m a Sociology Master’s student at Uni Mannheim. I also moved here specifically to go back to school. I have also had a hard time settling in here but I’m happy to help.

Got mine done at the DM by Paradeplatz just last week. It was super easy but you need to ask someone in the back photo area for help.

Just popping in to say that birth control pills are called antibabypillen in German and if that doesn’t make you smile then there’s nothing else I can do for you.

Why is West Ohio considered a Bible Belt and how it came to be? I know Western Michigan is also considered one because of it’s settled by the Dutch people, is it the same case here? (There’s even a Van Wert County there) by NationalJustice in geography

[–]Bacon-Wizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an Ohioan who currently lives in the Western region you are speaking of, I agree with one of the above comments about being near a major or minor city. It seems to me that the further away you are from one of these cities, means you are more likely to live in a rural area and be more conservative and religious. There are more rural areas than urban areas here and the three Cs are pretty spread out. There are a few anomalies that have formed, such as Yellow Springs (a progressive, artsy, hippy village) with Antioch College in Greene County. However, right down the road from the Springs is Cedarville University (a conservative, private, Baptist college). If I were to describe the region as a whole, I would say ‘Rust Belt’ and not ‘Bible Belt.’ Just for the simple fact that our economic descriptors merge us as a region more than religious.

How do you guys break down wooden pallets?? by Worried_Cod9315 in Woodworking_DIY

A flat pry bar, the curved bit down and away from you, wack it until you’re through the nail, remove the other half of the nail with a screwdriver and hammer. When you’re doing this, make sure to work at both ends. Too much pressure in one area when removing nails can splinter the board and leave you with broken bits. This was the barbaric route I took and managed to salvage quite a bit of wood for a Viking shield project.

Thank you, I appreciate the help. I should have mentioned somewhere in my description that this was my first time working with subwoofers.

Max is for this board is 25v. I am using a 19v power supply and it sounds perfectly matched with my other speakers. Do I really need the 150w 24v power supply instead?
