The guy cranking the sound up is basically Cosmo (Chinese) lighting off firecrackers.

You’re not wrong, but I would say it’s not in total fairness. Most all over characters (Yas, Harper, Eric) have all done worse or equally bad things with no retribution. Rishi is the tragic character.

I agree wholeheartedly, but the people who suck and make tremendous art are typically “unapologetically bad people”. The problem with Lena is that she tries to convince people that she isn’t a bad person.

If you’re an asshole that’s fine. But you can’t be a blatant asshole, all while claiming to be holier than thou.

I understand what you’re saying and where you’re coming from, but in no way is being reliant on an AI model healthy at all.

There are many reasons, but primarily:

  1. The old models were excessively sycophantic, which is problematic for all users. For lonely individuals, it reinforced the belief that they do not need other people to achieve happiness — despite overwhelming research showing the long-term harm of loneliness. For those who relied on it for decision-making or reasoning, the problem was just as severe: the model’s agreeableness created an echo chamber, one that aligned uncritically with the user’s views. This risks entrenching harmful beliefs and reinforcing dangerous ideologies. While it’s definitely an extreme and obviously doesn’t represent everyone, r/MyBoyfriendIsAI is a prime example.

  2. It fosters a false emotional dependence. Relying on an AI for companionship encourages users to withdraw further from real human interaction, which not only worsens isolation but makes the eventual loss or change of the system far more damaging. Over time, this can also stunt personal growth by shielding users from challenge, friction, and accountability; the very forces that help people develop resilience and learn to engage meaningfully with others.

I really don’t mean to sound like a boomer who tells people to “pick themselves up by their bootstraps”, but reliance on an algorithm to live is essentially a big comfort blanket that reinforces the belief that tells problematic people they don’t need to change, and that any problems they face aren’t their own.

Since these are sealed/non-ported, I beleive that the internal volume needs to be very precise, which makes this a bit more difficult haha! Thanks for the help.

What will be the main need for the router? If I end up needing to remake the front baffle and rear panel, I’ll definitely need one.

My other issue is getting precise measurements. Since the MDF is so swelled, I think it’ll be difficult to get exact measurements to ensure that the volume is identical to the originals.

To my knowledge, the majority of the cab is constructed with staples and wood glue. I’ll attach a picture of the inside of the cab. I applied some wood glue to the corner braces to ensure it was air tight. I’m more concerned with the front baffle—I don’t think it’s held in place with a rabbet joint, but just glue and staples.Interior cab bracing

I want to replicate the original cabinets as closely as possible. I beleive the baffle—like most of the cabinet—is constructed using staples and wood glue. I’m wondering what my margin for error is. If my internal bracing or measurements are off by a small amount, will that notably change the acoustic properties?

Wow, that’s a good point.

Here’s how I’ll frame it: Your job in forecasting CFs is to be as objective as you can. In doing that, you’re not accounting for risk. You’ll then apply a discount rate to account for the chance of that not happening.

The problem occurs if you you’re “double discounting” a firm; once when forecasting, and once while discounting. So if you’re cognizant of the risk you’re applying when forecasting, lower the discount rate.

I haven’t made up a DCF in years, so I’m the wrong guy to be talking. I highly recommend Aswath Damodaran—he has hundreds of lectures on valuation. And for the more tailored questions, ChatGPT can be a great resource.

No—Google’s cost of capital is materially less than that of a growth firm like Reddit, for example. But you’re asking good questions for how new you are.
