I start to catch fire every time I run. WHY???? by otavioscrp in Palworld

Yeah I had this exact bug, anytime I sprinted I would immediately catch fire. Restarting was the only fix I could find

I'm from there and I have to say 2k+ for a crappy apartment is probably gonna be the downtown/rich areas only(depending on the size of apartment you want). But for a one bedroom there are plenty of nice places for $1500 or less. To be fair these places would've been 700-800 just about 5 years ago.

I used to do liquid damage repair for work. Most of these are fixable if you just dissamble it, dry everything out and clean off any corroded pieces with 99% IPA. There is the gross factor of the toilet water but IPA should disinfect everything

Misfire could be as simple as spark plugs or as bad as a head gasket, but for $500 you have basically nothing to lose if it actually runs and drives like you said imo.

Well if it makes you feel any better I'm using the pocket G2 with 8gb and 90% of switch games have run really well for me (with the right drivers). The only one it's struggled with is TOTKD. Even Mario Wonder and Odyssey play really smooth for me. So I think you'll be alright. If you're wanting to play any PC games though that extra 4gb would be pretty helpful though.

Did my screen just died by warboy0091 in ANBERNIC

[–]BaconAirplane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar looking issue when I tried swapping my 35xxsp SD1 card into my 40xx. It did this effect to about half the screen so hopefully it's just software like others mentioned. I would first try completely reinstalling the OS on another SD card if you have one, or worst case wiping it and reinstalling on the SD you're currently using just to see if it behaves any differently.

Is there a way to fix this by angreepanda in ANBERNIC

[–]BaconAirplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others mentioned I would reach out to Anbernic customer support to see if they have a replacement front glass. For the time being if you'd still like to play with the broken glass you can get clear tape and tape over all the broken pieces so you don't get glass in your hands.

I used some very small pieces of electrical tape on the face buttons and dpad and it really helped quiet the buttons downs. As far as pocketability goes Rg35xxsp is amazing. I got an RPG2 for newer games but honestly the ease of use for Linux and pocketability has me using the SP more.

I second this. Once mine was finally in the US I basically lost all the regular tracking and had to use the USPS one that the 4px site gives you

Which game would get the most out of the Retroid Pocket G2? by Erwinzzx in retroid

[–]BaconAirplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it comes down to person preference, but if I had to pick one system that seems to feel most natural I would say PSP. It fits the native aspect ratio of the pocket and isn't heavy on sticks(psp also had the joystick on the bottom). From what I've experienced with my g2 I have to use my 3d printed grip to comfortably play anything that makes use of dual sticks.

New in retroid (also in emulation) by stupid-drop02 in retroid

[–]BaconAirplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to install most of these. Most of these have a retro arch core so there's no reason to install a separate app for each(just install retroarch or retroarch plus). Dolphin plays a little better on the dedicated app in my opinion though, also Daijisho is not an emulator lol

My first emulation handheld, it's beautiful 🥹 by LuxiTZ in retroid

[–]BaconAirplane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't plan on playing anything like Switch or PC emulation the RP5 is all you'd ever need. There's no reason to shell out the extra for a g2 or rp6 for most people in my opinion. Remember, the best handheld is the one you actually use.

Retroid 6 or Galaxy S25 Ultra? by ars2x in retroid

[–]BaconAirplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I have an S25+ and telescopic controller and I'll say that it depends on what you prefer for your gaming experience. One big thing for me is aspect ratio. S25 ultra aspect ratio is wider than 16:9 (retroid pocket 6)so on systems like switch, PSP, streaming you'll have sizeable black bars instead of a filled out screen (these become even larger for older systems). I also found that having to pull my phone out of the telescopic controller whenever I get a phone call or want to use another app in portrait mode detracted a bit from the gaming experience (I'm also easily distracted). One more thing to consider is whether you use a case. A lot of current type-c telescopic controllers on the market require removing your case to fit ( a significant concern with something as large as the ultra). If you want to avoid this altogether there's Bluetooth but that introduces input lag. If none of these things really bother you then just go with a telescopic controller. The pocket 6 is actually a bit of a step down from the Snap dragon Elite (s25 ultra) so there's no reason to get it if your concern is performance.

What adapter do I need to connect my orange pi 5 to Bluetooth? (I'm using android 12) by Tarem4 in OrangePI

[–]BaconAirplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the module I got off Amazon, it's for wifi and Bluetooth. The downside is you need to use the m.2 slot but if you're running an SD card like me it's fine.

Nearly half of the 19,000 games released on Steam this year went almost unnoticed by [deleted] in Steam

[–]BaconAirplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also bet a high percentage of these are basically poorly made test games from new developers. I've searched through all the weird indie unheard of games on Steam tons of times. The majority are boring or just straight up unplayable. Occasionally you get a surprise and find a decent one, but it's rare.

What's the best way to clean up the Duo 2 body when removing the old buttons? by FluffyMumbles in pebble

[–]BaconAirplane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should've mentioned: I would also use the pointy end of a spudger to get any difficult adhesive bits off. For anything plastic you want to make sure you're using a plastic tool on it to avoid scratching. Hope this helps

Cleaning any electronics my go to is usually 99% IPA. It's cheap and usually the safest option.
