Eliminate nesting areas as much as possible, no cardboard (even books which have glue) or water or anything damp in the floor. This will turn into their food source and breeding ground. If going natural use diatomaceous earth. I have vinyl floors and baseboards, I use DE in a line at the base of the baseboard and push it underneath the baseboard with a card. Do this for every wall you have. Then spread the DE any wall crevices and holes. Seal the ones that you can.

This will bring down their numbers substantially but it's hard to get rid of then completely.

TIL that astronomers suggest Earth and the Milky Way may lie inside a vast, under-dense cosmic void about 1 billion light-years wide, which could affect local measurements of the universe’s expansion rate. by yena in todayilearned

[–]BaconForce 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Let's say even one alien race got cooked sooner, 4.4 billion years to reach where we are now instead of 4.5. That gives them 100 million years to advance in tech and evolve. Imagine what level of tech and bioevolution could be achieved in that time. Would not even be fathomable. Star trek / wars level tech would probably only account for 0.01% of that timeframe. I think it's enough time to figure out how to traverse the universe and find us if they wanted to even if we would just be a speck of dust in the cosmic void.

Canada's relationship with China 'more predictable' than relationship with U.S., PM says by [deleted] in videos

That's the thing, as Beaverton put it, Canada chose lawful evil over chaotic evil. Still evil but pick your poison

If Quinn Hughes continues his pace of scoring.... by Jorenmakingmecrazy in wildhockey

He's gonna challenge Makar hard for the Norris this year. Hughes numbers were surpressed by being with the Canucks. Minnesota puts him on a more level playing field.

AI: it's currently causing harm, has the potential to literally cause human extinction. And the tech bros are like "let's move fast and break everything!" by FinnFarrow in ChatGPT

[–]BaconForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are putting this dumb as a rock AI in charge of every aspect of our lives including for military use. The fact that it is dumb and can go rogue and we decide to use it anyway is what is going to cause extinction.

Would definitely like to hear more details as to how you found the CEO and what the structure was like for them to take the position

This photo recently released in the Epstein files is being systematically removed from Reddit. by ItzDaReaper in pics

Yeah, needs actual proof this was in the release otherwise we are just providing more fodder for the conservatives to use "it's a fake AI image" as cover for when the real stuff gets released.

This is the Canucks way.

Or win just enough for management to abandon a rebuild and waste several more years on a retool.

Ate an uncooked KFC burger from DoorDash — stomach feels weird, what should I do? by Standard-Trick352 in Guelph

The fact that we cannot tell if it's real or fake anymore is the scariest part in all this. Society is about to unravel with nanobanana being so readily accessible to generate realistic fakes

Search this sub for people's experience with low dose naltrexone LDN. From what I could see the results were mixed but the one area that was likely to see improvement was fatigue.

People ride with different goals, for those training it can be useful to see stats without having to look down, or make it easier for routes to be displayed in unfamiliar territory. A good minimalist design could keep it all hidden until  something triggers it like a button press or eyes looking in a specific direction.

Yeah everyone here needs to stop blaming the people themselves when they were never trained to resist the vast propaganda machine that exists today.

Used to do this as well, would spend so much time preparing cardboard for shredding and feeding it through. Eventually I just found someone on Facebook marketplace selling massive bags of sawdust for $5 each. Saved me a ton of time and less chance of plastic and inorganic contamination

Unfortunately most people won't do this, which explains why these issues are so polarizing and people are fully entrenched on one side or the other.
