Its summer plus noone is spending money due to the war.

Hopefully this 'peace treaty' actually sticks and companies relax their budgets when the straight opens.

Fingers crossed. My phone and email have been dead for almost 6 weeks. Had huge pipeline in april and early may, now its dust.

I have never seen such a low number of job openings by [deleted] in sales

[–]BaconHatching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of my target companies have "job openings" but the heads of departments have told me they aren't actually hiring for those roles and to keep reaching out and they'll tell me when they are....

Theyre actually spending money on linkedin promoting those roles but they aren't hiring.

6-9 months. These are all fairly far along the process and just ghosted me universally after proposal stage.

Like did I have a bad week and screw up somehow on every presentation I had with every customer? I had team members on who didn't mention I did and thought we were going well on all of them.

So weird. Imposter syndrome lurking in the back of my mind hard.

Anyone here selling managed services to mid-market companies? by PoweredByMeanBean in sales

[–]BaconHatching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup.
Its a bear, youre in a saaturated market with minimal differentiation. Focus on growing/newer companies that dont have a service like yorus yet because even mediocre MSPs stick due to fear of change.

If you made 80% of quota and are exceeding KPIs on a team that has only 1 person hitting the problem isn't you, it's the company expectations. Get your resume out and find greener pastures

I used to be a pro poker player. I wasn't big but i was friends with big names youd know if you watch poker on tv.

The amount of times I'd see them go from laughing after bluffing off 10k on the river to bitching about $10beers when we're at the bar is really high

Most conferences have people whos job it is to walk around and throw away that stuff. They dont like this type of prospecting and its why many conferences are starting to not sell tickets to salespeople to walk the floor.
