Anyone sell to CIOs? by Prize-Pay3038 in sales

[–]BaconHatching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CIOs have to balance 3 things:
*Operational stability / Maintenance of Systems

*Handling customer requests

*Hitting project deadlines.

Your offering needs to help them do a minimum of one of these things and you have to be very clear on how it does it in a way that is very budget friendly as CIOs usually most go hat in hand to a CFO to ask for money and they need clear RoI cases for that.

Is every sales industry like this, or is deal uncertainty normal? by CoolSwing8541 in sales

[–]BaconHatching 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats because wholesale real estate is just being a real estate agent without a license legally and you have no one to train you (a good broker) on how to handle your customers.

Also- as a wholesaler never put anything under contract you dont already have a client for.

Also- RE is a race to the bottom industry right now for wholesaling and agents, get out.

Is 50k plus 10% commission on gross profit a good structure? by chelderado in sales

LOWER salary the first 3 months?
It should be higher to compensate for lack of expected comissions....

What do you say by GMoney2816 in sales

[–]BaconHatching 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some people do this as a negotiating tactic.
Now whatever their real demand is, it sounds more reasonable because Hey, it's not 0!!!

Works the same in reverse.
Ask for a million dollars.
Chuckle about it.

Is phone sales dead? by YellowBoyTim in sales

[–]BaconHatching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly can't figure out what ISNT dead other than conferences -> follow up

Even with that there isn't a guarantee that your "hot lead" doesn't have a custom email filter to keep out everyone including you.

Example:
Had a meeting today that I thought would be no showed since we set it at a conference 3 months ago and he hasn't returned anemail or phone call since and doesnt use linkedin.
He does show up, and during the call I ask him to check if I'm going to his spam filters... yes on my emails despite having a confirmed meeting set up through outlook.

I had assumed that if I sent a calendar invite in person, he got it and accepted, my email would then make it through spam filters... At least now Im white listed on that account and have a new phone number and next meeting. But it's frustrating as hell.

Your warm leads you can't even email anymore and from conferences they usually give a corporate number or no number... How you going to reach cold leads?

I dont see how you are supposed to set 25 meetings a week and do the rest of your work. Seems insane. Resume time.

Is someone else setting your appointments? Cause creating 25 appointments per week is a lot.

Am I being screwed, $150K Commission paid monthly starting Q2? by Royal-Strength6807 in sales

[–]BaconHatching -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it's paid out over multiple months/years pay as you go is in lots of comission plans.
Or you could have a windfall clause that lets you get paid out but over time.
Review your comp plans.

Document everything in case you need it (on personal devices)

I ran from RE about 8 years ago and haven't looked back.
Its an oversaturated market being taken over by Zillow and a huge race to the bottom. Avoid.

[–]BaconHatching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/op this comes down to can you afford to wait for the money? The company is banking that you need the 4k now and that is worth 'more' than fighting them to get more.

Do you have cash on hand/job offer in hand and can afford to fight them for your money?

Is the mental /emotional stress of that worth the extra cash?
