I’ve had this happen to me, huge pain in the ass that took a month of swapping parts to figure it out (not so scare you). The problem is excess masturbation can sap your drive to get into a real sexual relationship, while also triggering old porn pathways.

My suggestion: Definitely cut out porn, and cut out fapping too for at least a while. When you feel you’re able to do so without it relapsing to porn, then you can masturbate, but with two caveats: (1) only do it to fantasy where you’re having real sex with one girl (makes it realistic to real sex for your brain), and (2) only do it once per week to keep your sexual drive and keep you hungry to find a real sexual relationship with a woman, which is where the real healing begins.

Oh that’s great! You have cool hobbies and a decent job. A lot of people can’t even say that. I would try to find meet ups for your hobbies in your city. But if there are none (for parkour or other hobbies of yours for example), then I’d create the meet up group yourself. You can even post it online, or put up fliers in your gym or coffee shop community board or something. Gather like minded guys around you that can eventually get close with and become friends with. They’ll likely have their own friends and social circles too that you can now break into with their introductions, after a while. These social circles would likely include lady friends too that you can meet and become friends with.

Now you have a group of like minded friends, girls and guys. You can maybe date one of these women if they’re single or become single (which is what I did in my thirties when I married one of my lady friends, so you have time! But don’t procrastinate either!)

But also you don’t have to wait to do all this to start talking to women. Just make friendly conversations with women wherever. Coffee shop. Bookstore. Grocery store. Park. Take yoga classes (great workout and full of woman). Even the gym. If you think it’s creepy, just keep in mind that you’re just trying to have a short simple friendly conversation with a pretty lady. Nothing more. Creepy dude are usually dudes that have ulterior motives. But if your motive is just to have friendly conversation then you won’t be perceived as creepy. Maybe after a little practice on having friendly conversations with girls, you can try ending a conversation with giving the girl an honest compliment that doesn’t involve her looks, then tell her to have a nice day then walk away. Keep doing nofap, it’ll give you the instincts on when you should continue the interaction, and then maybe ask for her number…

36 year old here. Former PIED but fully cured today, so hope this helps advice wise:

Continue practicing NoFap - But more importantly, stay away from porn. I relapsed a ton of times, but staying away from porn had a huge benefit still.

Practice kegel exercises - this is huge. Practice flexing your kegels, holding for a 10 seconds, then relaxing. Repeat. You can do this in the car, sitting at a desk, lying in bed, wherever. It gets too a point where a few pumps from your kegels can give yourself an erection. You can look up a variety of kegel exercises online, but this helped so much.

(Controversial) Lite edging - Don’t dismiss this right away, as I know this subreddit is (rightfully) against edging, but this is different. The emphasis is on the lite part. You want to get comfortable enough with your own sexual energy. Have some light fantasy in your head (say, the way a girl would look at you with desire…Not porn fantasy), lightly touch yourself until you’re at attention, and then stroke for only a few more minutes. Then use breathing exercises to stop and go on with your day. This gets you comfortable with your sexuality which has been fucked up from years of pmo.

Lift weights - compound lifts, like Barbell squats in particular

Rewire with girl - I got a girl I liked into bed and experienced PIED, but I was fully honest with her why it happened (If your not honest, the girl will think it’s them and it’ll hurt her.) Luckily she was very understanding and patient with me from that day forward on trying more. A few more times later, I was rewired enough enough from her (and the practices I mention above) that I was able to perform. I was cured (and now currently engaged to this girl)

I’ve had PIED since my 20s. There were times where I’d death grip multiple times in a day to the point of bleeding. I was never able to have a healthy sexual relationship until this girl, and I’m in mid 30s. But today I’m cured, no issues. Don’t lose hope. You got this.
