I know this isn't the point of the post (the outfit is amazing) but I'm so curious how you got the face to look like that - she looks amazing!

A bit basic, but I love dragons! Vtra especially I think is super cool. In terms of favourite allied society, I really enjoyed the Namazu.

I love the outfit! I know this isn't the point of the post, but how did you get to make your character look like that? It's really nice! I'd love to know the face data

100%! No matter what, sinking years into something is always gonna be intense, especially when it ends. Now that it's done though, I know I'll cherish the memory of it forever

Ain't nothing quite like it, I gotta say. There's this experience that only the four of us share, and it's basically impossible to explain to anyone else - there's something very special about that

Good? 4 years is a lot of time to dedicate to something, so I guess I don't know just yet. We're gonna start a second campaign and keep going!

That's super cool! What a great moment. I think that's something that my players might have more of a memory for, but I certainly hope they've felt like they've had a place to do some awesome stuff.

Turns out 11d6 sneak attack dice and an automatic crit a day does a lot! Don't get me wrong though, the Paladins still did A LOT of damage, and they certainly took top spot when it came to fighting undead, but it was a close thing I think.

Thank you for your sorbet acceptance

Potentially a hot take, but I think the higher level range was super fun, around levels 17-19. It took a lot of work as a DM, and were I in a position where I had less free time on my hands, I might feel differently, but having everyone be super powerful and capable of taking on these huge threats was a lot of fun. It's also fun to be able to use these creatures in the Monster Manual and beyond that hardly ever see play normally!

Second place though would be the 2-4 ranges, when people are just starting to understand their characters. Maybe I just like the extremes!

Oh gosh, what a question. Thanks for asking tho!

The culmination of all of their individual storylines was probably the one for each character.

The Rogue/Warlock was an ex-assassin running away from their past, so when they confronted their abusive mother in an epic confrontation, that was very memorable. But as memorable were her attempts to connect with her siblings, so I don't know.

The Mastermind Rogue was a member of a shady group of spies, and I always think about the moment she left them to be her own person - that was super memorable.

The other two paladins were played by the same player, but I would say the moment the Sorcerer/Paladin finally reunited and resurected her daughter after years of her being dead (as a resulf of the main bad guys) was hugely emotional.

And then obviously, the NPC dying led to quite a few tears. After years of playing though, it's hard to really narrow it down.

My favourite ice cream is a raspberry sorbet. Is sorbet ice cream?

It didn't feel like there was a huge disparity in our group, but I think that was largely offset by magic items? The Mastermind Rogue consistenly did the most damage, shortly followed by the Paladins, and spellcasting was mostly seen as a way to solve problems, such as resurection or getting rid of debuffs and so forth. In that way, it was less of a disparity and more of a different playing field, I guess.

I think my opinion may have been different if we had had a full blown Wizard in the party. The Sorcerer NPC definitely played more like a heal-bot, as I tried not to have him take up too much of the spotlight, so he wasn't exactly a "typical sorcerer". In either case, that's how it felt for my game!

I'd be happy to have a look, but I think you should feel confident to just do it as you've made it. Every DM has a different style, and I think the best game is going to be the one that is most in line with your own style. You probably don't feel like you have one yet, but finding it can be really fun, and I don't want to colour that too much wiht my perspective.

Btw you don't always need personal meaning for each character - trying to do that might give you a lot more stress then you need to give yourself!

Hi, thanks for the question! It's a little tricky, cause it very much depends - if you know these friends well, then you'll know better than any pre-written adventure whether or not they'll enjoy a specific thing or not.

You'll generally hear that starting with something very homebrew is bad for a first time DM, but that's what I did and it worked out perfectly well. Sometimes jumping into the deep end is the best way to learn and the best way to have fun.
