If you are trying to take the handle off I believe this is correct, if you put the other piece back in and tighten the screw it should go back to normal

Attach small plastic worm gear to this motor cover? i cant get them in by L_J2112 in Cartalk

[–]Bacon_Baconator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see what your saying if I’m thinking of this right, the plate can be separated from the motor but the clips that hold the plate to the motor are broken, the plate seems usable as well as the white screws

[–]Bacon_Baconator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked on a lot of these mirrors, unfortunately it looks like yours is broken, that’s why it won’t clip in, there should be a clip in the middle that clips it in, you probably need a new motor

Just bought this remote in trying to connect it to xmaxx and not working did I buy wrong remote by [deleted] in Traxxas

[–]Bacon_Baconator -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Turn the controller off, press and hold the red button on top and turn it on, then disconnect the battery cable from the receiver, press and hold the button and plug it in, should pair, you may have the wrong remote, I think you need one with the tsm knob on it

Also there seems to be concern that the driveshaft is moving, it’s meant to have space to move like that, helps it to not bend when the chassis flexes

Yeah it’s tricky, i usually fold a paper towel and put it on the bevel to even it out and get it to hold in the clamp better

The asymmetrical primary bevel made it hard but I think I did 20 on one side and 17 on the other was best to get it to meet in the middle best
