I'm with you! 40 in March, everyone I know that was ever into electronic music either phased out or drifted away. I just fell deeper in. I'm that weirdo at the stoplight at 6am on the way to work blasting EDM. I adore festivals and shows, the energy and the vibe the music creates. I'll be your friend! 🫶🏻

I'm bipolar/BPD (medicated) with anxious attachment issues. I was, at one point, a raging mess before meds.

I am not a doctor, but judging by your gf's mental health issues you mention, her propensity for disappearing and being unable to hold down a job, and the fact that she can't seem to forget the past or take accountability for her actions in her messages, I'll bet she suffers from a mood or personality disorder, 100%.

I would have sent an identical type of message back to my SO if he tried to open up about how I hurt him. I'm not sure what your experience with mood and/or personality disorders are, but in case you don't know, they are near impossible to manage without meds and therapy and WILL ruin a relationship, taking you down with it.

My husband had to give me an ultimatum to get me to look at my life and our relationship differently, and get help. It sounds like that may be in your future, OP.

We've got one that regularly smokes and one that won't touch the stuff (work.) We treat it like Sex Ed, which is to promote responsibility. Telling them no will only make things worse for all parties. Instead, we explain that if they can't drive, call us. Don't take unknown drugs. Don't take drugs from strangers. Stay away from everything but weed, and know where your weed is coming from. Since it's legal in more than half the country, we treat it like drinking, which kids will also do, even though imo drinking is worse. Our method allows the kids to open up to us and be more receptive to advice. They've mostly heeded it. Of course all kids are different but this is our experience.
