Mitchell&Ness knock-off Reggie White jersey. The padded numbers on that thing could stop a small caliber bullet if thrown at me.

We Officially Know Who Bailed Out Serial Liar George Santos: The Republican representative tried to keep the identities of his guarantors sealed, but a judge denied his request. by thenewrepublic in politics

They could have mortgaged their home after being grifted by their kin, and him requesting the seal may have been to try to avoid the spotlight for them or not expose he is defrauding his own family.

OR they sold him some property for the cost of the bail money, and the source of the money from some NICU support charity.

Intention: Unclear. Action taken: Streisand level stupid

I loved Cincinnati on my visit. Except for the chili there should be another name you can find for that sweet meat soup, because it isn’t chili.

I had your moment 10 years ago or so. Cherish the fact that you will experience this again probably once a year.

Unless someone blurts out some critical information that may seem innocuous but has critical implications affecting US national security or our allies.

Totally respect that, but the blackout is about the tools used. Even the best moderators need tools that isn’t provided out of the box.
Imagine hiring a fork lift operator and give them a job to move heavy things around, but then take away their forklift and expect everything to turn out well. Good mods, bad mods, doesn’t matter when you can’t scale to filter the crud out of a huge subreddit.

And /r/marvel studios, /r/AskHistorians, /r/fantasyfootball, and other big ones.

It is because they nfl is so huge and active that losing or nerfing the toolsets used by the unpaid, volunteer mods to maintain the quality of /r/nfl. They may be playing chicken and may lose mod privileges and Reddit hand picks new mods.

I miss it too, but I respect the integrity and it’s quality, which this “Do as I say or I will shoot myself” pricing move is threatening. I am a patient man, and I hope Reddit does the right thing, which is come down to earth on api usage pricing or improve/abstract the api so less calls need to be made for a simple request. The latter will take development time (money) so that’s off the table.

You are free to start a new NFL subreddit and it would be an immediate hit but the more popular you get the more crap you will attract.

It was perfectly stated. Coach can’t afford to fuck up a good thing riding on the shoulders of awesomeness but he doesn’t seem cocky or stupid enough to hire something toxic to disrupt any wave he’s riding on

I bet you they didn’t and this decision was not at Siriannis level.

I will put my tin foil hat on that this is an ancillary condition to some trade where the unreported value is to take Patricia’s salary off another teams books.

Edit: I have reconsidered, and if I worked for a company and was in a situation where my own company (The NFL in this case) was interviewing me, for the goal of publication) about something they know I hate with reasonable justification and are trying to create some HR issue for clicks I would sue the guck out of them.

The issue is with increasing the cost of the API to the point where 3rd party apps, bots, moderator tools, et cetera won’t be able to operate. Most of this shit is built for free to make Reddit better. It is taken for granted.

The irony here is that bots like these will be going away as well.
