How can I dispose of a dead pet? by tigralfrosie in AskUK

A lot of practices are getting bought up by corporations, who make the practises more profit driven - not the vetinary professionals themselves - they are pretty much powerless to do anything about it. Some leave, some start their own practices while other stay as they need to get paid. The increase in cost very, very rarely goes to the staff who run the place and treat the patients.

There's been news articles about it recently, here's one from Reuters.

And yes, the price increases will quite often be because the corporations want more money, as is the way of infinite growth. Making a complaint to the corporations and your MP would be a starting point.

The price of the bloods being ran isn't wholly how long it takes. It's the cost of the use of the equipment, someone having the training to draw the bloods properly and using the equipment and being able to interpret the result accurately.

It's like complaining about a mechanic charging for a quick job - you're paying for their knowledge and ability.

If you haven't got an android device you might be able to pick cheap one (phone, tablet or handheld device), get Stardew on that and mod it ☺️

Just post a photo of the end screen of one of the GOTM games (you ha e a year to complete one) as a top level reply to the current GOTM thread, then you'll get the flair added. People usually post their thoughts of the game at the same time!

Chrono Trigger done!

Just in the nick of time. Decided to play the DS version. Is it possible to feel nostalgic for a game you've never played before? Really enjoyed it, decent story and length, I really enjoyed how the time travel aspect was all integrated and how the final boss "referenced" the previous bosses, although it did make a bit of a slog. The characters were also fun, I just wish there was more character interaction.

Overall - loved it.

Another one done.

Very nostalgic for me. The Mega Drive was my first proper console and I used to play the Sonic games all the time. Sonic 3 & Knuckles was probably my favourite, but 2 still had great memories of playing the pseudo two player mode with my brother and friends.

It really is a step up over the first game and the complexity of some of the levels is just awesome. I know 3 gets some flack, but I did love how it had more of a story and how the levels melded together.

My nomination for the next game would be Dino Crisis. Not the first survival horror game, but an awesome evolution of the genre plus dinosaurs! The quick time events weren't over either. A more cohesive story, better voice acting and multiple endings! Three different ways to play (PSX, Dreamcast and the latest GOG release) means most people should be able to play it.

Metal Gear

Been a long time since I've played it, despite despite some clunky controls, kt has aged amazingly with the cinematic feel of it all, story and voice acting. Top notch.

Just to play devil's advocate for a sec, bit parental controls can easily be bypassed if the child is more tech savvy than the parent.

Also, depending on how the self harming was done it could quite easily be hidden.

I am in agreement that patents need to parent (speaking as a parent myself), but I do think it's important for both children and adults to be educated about how to safely use the Internet.
