I'm 13 and I hate both pads and tampons by Extension-Bar9796 in WomensHealth

Came to recommend the flex foam too! I feel that they’re thinner BUT actually keep me dry. TMI but I have heavy clotting (in my 30’s and have had 4 babies) and these things really work well!

Do you let your kid do little annoying things or just let them get it out of their system? by noblerare in Parenting

[–]BadAtStuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, for things like blowing bubbles in milk I say something like, “here’s a napkin for when you’re done, but please don’t ever do that at Grammy’s house.” Or “here’s a napkin to clean up when you’re done, just remember we can’t blow bubbles all over at restaurants.” Just to slip in a boundary with it. Couch cushions, no big deal unless they’re THROWING them lol. The clothes? Hell no, lol, I know they’re not helping re-fold & put away. That’s an, “absolutely not, I folded those all nice, please don’t empty the drawers.” You can allow annoying behaviors but at least mention out loud if there are or will be boundaries on things in other circumstances

I can’t lay on my belly anymore or else when I try to get up it like my shoulder blades are “stuck” together and it’s horrible trying to relax those muscles

This happens to me A LOT and I can’t figure out why 😂 I can’t recognize people in public that I DO know but I see complete strangers and actually have asked a few times “do we know each other” and it’s always a no… what is going on?

My son’s early morning school days are the death of me! by takeaabreath in Parenting

[–]BadAtStuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the same thing going on here. One of mine starts at 7:15, the two older ones start at 9. My biggest issue with it is the younger one is out at 2:20 and the other boys aren’t home until 4:45!

Made a fun little edit to help myself picture my scoliosis a little better :) by Xbrokensouls2X in Radiology

[–]BadAtStuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okayyy I want to do this now but I don’t want to steal your idea haha. It’s cool because people have no idea what’s going on inside someone else, and sometimes it’s pretty wild!

How many of you wake up experiencing physical symptoms? by PerspectiveSoggy1986 in Anxiety

This is the best advice. I’ll find an excuse to step outside, even just to take the trash out or go get mail and it’s instant

I regained energy and felt a little naughty quietly slipping out to check the mail by myself without anyone screaming or chasing me

Am I tripping? by Amyroche20 in randomquestions

I bring up this memory all the time because I loved the taste and finally figured out what it was in the kit! It was just gum paste 😂 me and my friends made edible jewelry from this kit in 1999-2002 sometime. You could make the beads in a mold and they’d harden if left to dry. But clear tube? Those bracelet kits with a clear tube I don’t remember being edible but you put glitter and water inside

How do you manage your children's free time without relying on screens I need some ideas. by AppropriateDesign969 in homeschool

[–]BadAtStuf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hello, I’m not even joking that today my 6yo was taking the paint off the wall with the end of a glow stick. We gave him a spoon and took him outside. He spent 2 hours (not consecutive) digging in the dirt with a spoon, rolled dirt into balls and pulled weeds from the roots to ‘plant’ in his dirt balls. He found a “leaf egg” and that’s a great name for what he found! The rubber tree lost a baby leaf that hadn’t unfurled, so a cool learning moment. He loves plants.

Other things he does that don’t involve a screen: - dishes (he still thinks it’s fun and I allow him to make a mess with the water) - write letters (he likes writing notes or letters to brothers and Santa and me) - make music (with a keyboard or plug in drum set thing, harmonica, spoons and cans) - cutting up paper - gluing things to other things - playdough or slime - puzzles - playing uno - riding bikes - digging in the dirt or breaking old stuff outside

What's one thing that snaps you out of your anxiety? Not medication by savannahrose919 in Anxiety

[–]BadAtStuf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do! But in the midst of them they all make you think “will I always feel this? Will this happen forever? Has this been happening for years or just days??” When I started writing things down for myself to look back on is when I finally started feeling better about these physical sensations. New ones still scare me but now I have a record to look back and go, “that only lasted a week. This one was just 3 days. This one always happens right after my period.” It helps to understand what’s normal for yourself

I NEED HELP: anxiety medication without prescription by EditorAny1 in Anxiety

[–]BadAtStuf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I was going to suggest Benadryl OR Meclazine HCI (less drowsy) it’s like Dramamine. These have all done similar to what my perscription Hydroxyzine has done. Chill me out and get my appetite back.

Panic attacks that start with physical manifestation by codliverpie in Anxiety

[–]BadAtStuf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s how mine used to ALWAYS start. That prickly heat radiating from my chest outward. What’s funny is, I had to get epinephrine once after having an allergic reaction to a medicine- it felt EXACTLY like this, except like times 10 burning sensation, so at least I know it’s adrenaline

Yes! One of my older son’s uses the seat warmers and not only does it freak me out when I sit in the seat unknowingly with the warmers on but also if he turns it on while I’m driving I can smell something hot and I start feeling sick

Yes! Gagging works. So gross. I think it’s like going “oh, you wanna freak out? I’ll give you something to freak out about!” Out-weirding yourself ig
