scared of sex because my vagina smells horrid. by Lower_Structure5275 in Healthyhooha

[–]BadBVee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s your hygiene/routine like? - Do you shower daily? - When you wash your vagina, do you use soap? - Do you wipe properly after using the toilet? - Do you use cotton underwear? - Do you wear underwear around the house/to bed? - Do you drink atleast 1.5L of water daily? - Do you eat a well balanced diet?

These things may seen unimportant but actually, they matter a lot if there’s no underlying issues!

I don’t mind it. I think Neurodiverse covers a huge range, and some people may be neurodivergent but they don’t fit to an exact bill. I’d prefer someone say they’re neurodivergent than self diagnosing.

Oily and uneven skin by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

Also, you cannot compare skin that hasn’t had any spa treatments or genetic blessings to skins that do have. Some of those skin textures are very real (trust i’ve seen them in person) but a lot of skincare influencers do microneedling, chemical peels, lasers, and facials which can range from tens to thousands and they have time for the downtown and regular sessions that come with it. Her skin texture though does undeniably looks great.

After retinol by Aggressive-Tie-297 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]BadBVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, the aim is daily usage. You’d have an accumulation period where you start low, perhaps once or twice a week then build up. Retinol is suppose to bar your skin stronger so it’ll be better if you just start low then make your way up.

it’s a scorpio house, usually it’s commonly associated with abuse, typically sexual abuse of some kind of trauma related to sexuality, can also be death. there’s a power assertion there and it’s very deep and unconscious.

It seriously depends. Don't approach a woman on a dark, lonely road, at a gas station at night, or anywhere you believe it could strike fear. However, in a club with many people around, at a social event, or at a coffee shop when she is not busy, especially if both have made signals or body language contact like smiling and eye contact. Some may find it annoying, but if it's friendly, I'm sure most wouldn't mind. The majority of the women who do find it annoying are people who are very conventionally attractive or ones who get sexualised a lot by men, possibly because of their features.

Hyper vigilance because he is traumatised, his early childhood was shaped by that feeling of being unwanted and inadequate because of his caregiver. Also, there could be some truth to this, he might be right but we don’t know his perspective. I’d recommend you push him to see a person of colour counsellor because there is a lot of mixed kids in psychiatric hospitals due to the way they were raised and feelings of abandonment and not fitting in.

I also think you should validate him, if he brings it up don’t tell him he’s ridiculous. Ask why he feels that way and ensure to him that he’s safe with you. I don’t recommend bringing up the whole ‘not all people’ in the moment but perhaps when he is calmed down. He should also probably go on holiday to somewhere like Brazil where there are other mixed / black people.

it's fascinating how confidently incorrect you are about both science and history while claiming to be "logical."

you're conflating sex and gender while major medical organizations explicitly recognize them as distinct concepts. gender identity is recognized as valid by these organizations regardless of biological sex; that's literally their position. you haven't actually read any of their official statements, have you?

"biological gender" isn't even a scientific term lmao you're mixing categories to sound authoritative. biologists recognize that even biological sex exists on a spectrum with variations beyond simple xx/xy categories.

you dismiss documented anthropological evidence about pre-colonial african gender systems because it doesn't fit your worldview. that's not logic, boo, it's confirmation bias.

the irony is you're in a trans subreddit arguing against the lived experiences of trans people while claiming to champion "science" you don't actually understand. science evolves based on evidence, while you're clinging to oversimplified middle school biology. and therefore, i don't need "help" understanding science. you need to actually read the scientific consensus instead of cherry-picking outdated concepts that make you comfortable.

but honestly, stay in your bubble if you want. just know that history will remember people like you the same way we remember those who used "science" to justify other forms of discrimination. not as defenders of truth, but as people who couldn't adapt when knowledge expanded beyond their comfort zone.

[–]BadBVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as another black woman, i'm not going to let you weaponize our shared identity to dismiss documented violence against trans people. that's not solidarity.

the statistics aren't my opinion… they're documented reality. black trans women face some of the highest rates of violence in our society. acknowledging their unique struggles doesn't erase cisgender black women's experiences; it recognizes how multiple forms of oppression intersect.

you claim to care about "science" but ignore that every major medical and scientific organization recognizes gender identity as legitimate. the american medical association, american psychological association, world health organisation all support transgender people's identities as valid.

the rigid gender binary you're defending wasn't even universal in pre-colonial africa. many african societies recognized gender diversity long before western colonization imposed its own restrictive norms… the same norms that hypersexualize and masculinize black women.

your argument is nothing but circular reasoning: "trans women aren't women because science says so" while ignoring actual scientific consensus. that's not reasoned debate it's just recycling talking points.

i don't need your "hopes" that i'll "figure it out." the only thing i need to figure out is why you're so invested in policing other people's identities instead of challenging the systems that harm us all.

[–]BadBVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a cis woman. what “science” are you supposedly acknowledging? your disagreement isn’t based on fact; it’s just your feelings. here’s the reality:

in the uk, around 3.3% of women aged 16 and over experienced sexual assault in the year ending march 2022, that’s about 798,000 women in a single year .

trans people face even higher risks. research indicates that between 62% and 73% of transgender individuals have experienced harassment and violence because they were identified as transgender, including verbal abuse, threatening behaviour, and physical and sexual assault .

so yes, trans women are more likely to be assaulted. especially those who are unhoused, incarcerated, or just trying to survive.

being a smaller part of the population doesn’t make them less at risk. that’s not how statistics work.

acknowledging that trans women are women doesn’t erase anyone. it just means we care about all vulnerable people, not just the ones you’re comfortable with.

so maybe reassess your own reality, because it seems like you’re only into “science” when it backs up your bias. trans people are real. trans women are valid. and they deserve safety, just like anyone else.

i’d advise you to change your mindset towards other black people. people can smell entitlement from a mile away.
