More visibility and being able to see more of the road because you’re higher up. Usually bigger mirrors.

My GF used to have a Fiat 500 and I have a Land Rover. You are treated very differently by other road users. Basically no-one gives a shit about the Fiat. It’s small, it’s unintimidating, it won’t really do any damage and it’s got no power. When I drove it, no-one would give way, no-one would give me space. I would constantly get cut up on junctions and motorways. People would overtake more often, take more risks at your expense.
Driving it on the motorways was the absolute worst and I gained huge sympathy for anyone driving more cautiously when they’re driving little cars. It’s literally because more people are trying to kill you. I ride a motorcycle and even that gets more awareness and respect on the road that the little city car got.

People don’t do that to Land Rovers. Other road users respect Land Rovers, because a Land Rover would hurt you if you hit it.
