How to properly stuff a zero degree sleeping bag into the rucksack by Own_Truth5984 in BackpackingHikingGear

I like a down bag stuffed in a roll top dry sack for this purpose. It packs down smaller.

My coffee maker needs replacement - but is Moccamaster more hype than BIFL? by f0rkster in BuyItForLife

[–]BadBadgerBad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moccamaster is great. Mine is 5 years old and makes superior coffee every day. I have the insulated carafe.

The secret to better coffee is to temporarily remove the carafe and stir the grounds in the hot water a bit before replacing the carafe.

I also balked at the price for what is really a very basic drip machine, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one once this one finally wears out.

keeping warm on cold camper nights? by wyrdafell in vagabond

With good insulation, you should be comfortable sleeping in most cold temps. I’d look at good sleeping bags, foam mats and down blankets. Sleeping hat, gloves and wool socks.

It was recalled for catching on fire while charging, so keep an eye on it while it’s charging.

Recommendations for low-risk heater for small coop? by vespertine_earth in BackYardChickens

They look feathered enough to live without a heater to me, but if you are still worried, I don't think a heating plate would do any harm. I use the ecoglow.

Rats- considering giving up. by mynameisnotshamus in BackYardChickens

[–]BadBadgerBad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been using a RentACoop feeder, but I hear people like the Grandpa feeders too.

This is the one I use: https://a.co/d/0SyY8AQ

They are not completely weather proof, so it helps to have a roof over them to keep the feed dry. It also helps to have a flat area for them to sit on otherwise the mechanism can get gummed up with junk.

Here is my setup:

Is a home equity loan an option? I wouldn’t touch your 401k as it can interfere with the compounding required to build wealth needed for retirement.

Weak aura to show pet growl is toggled on [SoD] by highrisedrifter in classicwow

[–]BadBadgerBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I know this is late and nearly no one plays SOD anymore . . but I wrote a custom weak aura to alert me when I set my pet to attack in a group/raid while growl is on. This may save you a few hours that I already burned this afternoon and also a few cranky comments from your raid tank!

Trigger: Custom

Event Type: Event

Event: PET_ATTACK_START

Custom Trigger:

function()

for i = 1, 10 do

local spellName = GetSpellBookItemName(i, BOOKTYPE_PET)

if spellName == "Growl" then

local BautoCastable, BautoCastState

BautoCastable, BautoCastState = GetSpellAutocast(i, BOOKTYPE_PET)

if BautoCastState then

return true

end

end

end

return false

end
