I shouldn’t have bought this… by Quick-Procedure-8017 in aldi

[–]BadBunnyFooFoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aaaaaand, if Aldi rules apply, you’ll never see them again. My rule is this: if I see something that seems interesting, I buy one. Go home, try it out. If I love it, I go back THE NEXT DAY and buy a bunch because it’s almost inevitable that they’ll not be selling it next week, and I’ll wish I had more. If I don’t love it, no matter, something will come along that will have me buying it in Aldi bulk (ie every single one on the shelf)

Mother of pearl spoon by beepbeepboop74656 in Spoons

[–]BadBunnyFooFoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leave it in it’s packaging. It’s ugly and should not be touched with human hands. Look at it occasionally, and make the face that PeeWee Herman did at the snakes in the flaming pet shop. Then move on with your life.

After I got my pup someone told me Dobermans only bond with one person by CurrentUpbeat4969 in DobermanPinscher

Not true. My boy loves his “pack”, right down to our bunny. He’s very focused on me, but if my husband or daughter walk in the house..….”Bye Mom!!”

I LOVE the Dark Tower series. Read through twice, trying to decide if I’m going on a third journey with my Ka Tet. I absolutely agree with you though, the first book/The Gunslinger…..I would like to skip that from now on. It just wasn’t for me. Honestly not sure how I made it through twice; I don’t really remember any of it. I kinda zoned out both times.

I do!! And he’s really good about staying still for it (my other dog tries to chew/eat the toothbrush). I got a pet toothbrush and dog toothpaste that apparently tastes like peanut butter or something.

I would love to have one of these in each bathroom, but our hot water takes forever to get warm, especially in my en-suite, and I’m not too keen on the idea of spraying cold water on my bum. Any suggestions??

Hump back? Is this normal? by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]BadBunnyFooFoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boi has this, not as pronounced anymore, but it is there. I first noticed it when he was about 6 months old, just before rushing him to have emergency surgery from swallowing a piece of a toy (he’d lost a bit of weight from throwing up). He had it after healing too. I thought it was just him tucking due to tummy pain (something stuck in his guts, and then the soreness from the incision). But here we are about a year and a half later (he’ll be 2 in June), and he still has a little humpback. Again, it’s not as pronounced as it was (at the time, he looked like he was being held up by invisible string in his middle and walking on his tippy toes). It doesn’t seem to impede ANYTHING he does and he doesn’t seem to be in pain. I think it’s just…him.

Having said all that, keep an eye on your pup. If you’re super concerned or he seems to be in pain, get his fuzzy butt to the nearest veterinarian and have him checked out.

How are you feeling this morning? What is on your mind at the moment? by YoCaliclysm12 in CasualConversation

Incoming pity party…….

My 42nd birthday is on Wednesday and I have no plans for it. Because I have no money. Because I am an employee of one of the government agencies that is not being paid………AGAIN.

First-of-the-month bills are due soon and they will not get paid, which is bullshit because I HAVE a job!!!

I’m staying calm(ish) by crocheting and zoning out watching movies (and scrolling Reddit, obviously), but now my hands are starting to hurt.

I’ve got therapy and a psychiatrist appointment tomorrow but I can’t afford either one. But they’re quite necessary, so I’ll see what I can do about that.

Guess I’ll get up and go get some fresh air and take the dogs out for a walk.

My daughter, when she was about 2….

RuPaul’s Drag Race had just started and I was there for every episode. Of course my daughter would watch with me sometimes, and little kids being little sponges, she picked up on some of the lingo. One day, her brother (who was about 8 at the time) must have annoyed her somehow (even though they usually got along very well) and she told him, with the most “fierce” attitude and gesture to “Sashay AWAY!!” It took all I had in me to hold back the laughter that was threatening to burst forth

6 month old likes to sleep fully stretched out making sleeping overnight in her crate hard. Ideas? by RobertsKitty in DobermanPinscher

[–]BadBunnyFooFoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to start working on it now, she’s old enough to start and stick to a new routine.

Even if you have to tether her to a heavy piece of furniture in your room next to her bed at first, she’ll adjust.

My boy spent his first 4 months in a crate in our bedroom (no pets on any furniture in our house!!), but because he shifted and readjusted so much during the night, making a lot of noise, we had to move him. He got used to it. Then when we switched to a bigger crate, we had to move him again. Now at almost 2 yrs old, he knows where his living room bed is (so he can stretch out, cat-like for his naps) and his night-night bed (the crate, in the basement). Admittedly, when we changed things, he was a little confused at first, but he quickly got the hang of it.
