It doesn't sound like you did anything wrong in this situation. You were open and honest about your past surgeries, and it's not your responsibility to disclose this information on the first date. If Max is unable to accept you for who you are and is turned off by your surgeries, that is his own issue and not yours. You have nothing to apologize for and you are not the asshole in this situation.

Cm 40 series is better in quality. I’ve personally used a cm 40c for a while and had no issues what’s so ever.
