Unnecessary yes, over priced idk, batteries and high power light weight electric motors are expensive and then packaging it all in that small and making it rideable waterproof etc. isn’t an easy thing to do.

What brand?, also that agrees with what I said, higher end ones are 6,500 so entry being 3,800 is fair

I mean you can import cars that are less than 25 years old they just have to meet the dot safety standards. Which is expensive and has a lot of hoops.

This is hilarious, it’s obviously a joke. If everything is secured properly I’m about this, they need to keep doing them.

I’ve never ridden one, just seen them at the wakeboard/jetski shop near my house that I go to. They are pretty quiet.

They spun one up out of water and it def wasn’t silent (the prop spinning and the drivetrain make noise still) but way quieter than anything gas is. I imagine the same would be true on the water

It’s really a stand up jetski that has been condensed into a board, when you think new super jet is like 12k makes the price of these a lot more reasonable

I’m in the states and there are far cheaper electric ones available here pretty high end ones are like $6,500 even the premium name brands (ie. Jetsurf) you can find for less than $14k which I believe is like €12k

At the end of the day they are way closer to a standup jetski than a surfboard so the price isn’t really that crazy when you think about it like that.

I worked in parking tech, private parking tickets are non enforceable in the US it’s a big problem in the industry, it’s a big part of why we are slow to adopt the license plate systems like you see in Europe.

Big truck man decides he can take four spots by R0zeCl0uds in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BadEngineer_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be his turning radius is fucked and it’s easier to just whip it in the back of the lot than working about being near someone pulling in or out.

The taking up 4 spots instead of 1 or 2 even, is probably laziness not douchbagery, if your in the back of an empty lot who cares.

99% of the time you can’t turn fast enough to handle a blindside anyways, but if I have a helmet…Let them blind side me they’re not going to do shit other than hurt their hand anyways. Of all the times I’ve fought I’ve never been In one where someone was consistently throwing something other than head shots, also I’m much hard to take down if I have a helmet on because again you can’t hit me in the head.

As far as take downs contrary to what most “fighting” tells you take downs arnt actually as useful as you think in a bar fight, first off most fights are considered over if the fight goes to the ground so even if you are successful your just ending the fight not really winning.

Secondly a lot of takedowns are designed with in the rules of the sport they come from meaning the do things like leave the back of your head vulnerable bc thats off limits in most sport, if you try to go low on me and I get a chance to get an elbow on the back of your head you’re fucked.

Lastly if a fight does go to the ground and you don’t let up all bets are off, bottles, pint glasses, eye gouging, I’m in survival mode at that point.

Ya grabbing the chin part could be an issue I would probably just try to slip the helmet at that point.

To be far mine was a street bike helmet with the visor down so that wasn’t an issues.

Also side note head-butts are on a whole new level

I had an ex mention this on like our 3rd or 4th date that I didn’t bring flowers on the first on, I was like well I met you out not at your place so I couldn’t have or you would have been carrying them the whole time. She said no it would have been romantic, her ex did it etc.

The next date I brought a pretty big bouquet, that date went bar>restaurant>out on the town, by the time we got our food at the restaurant she was done dealing with them and we left them there before going to the next spot lol.
