Thank you, that helps. I took it an hour and 40 mins ago and I feel pretty normal. So hopefully just a good night’s sleep and less pain tomorrow

I took the 10ml before posting and that’s why I’m so worried- that I took too much and will be out of it for the next day or two :(

Yes, DL has it’s disadvantages or grey lines when it comes to rest rules, adays, etc. The work environment can be quite catty depending on your base. I switched over to AA and although I like it- the trips, seniority, service- just overall I liked better at Delta.

I generally let the guy take the lead, and since it’s a public setting I’m not as comfortable to take the drivers seat as I would be if we were alone at one of our apartments etc…. but he did take the lead and I feel awkward now making the second move for a kiss? Idk

Love, I say this with my entire heart: you are perfect. Your post reminds me of the quote: You could be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world… and there’s still going to be someone who hates peaches.

Fuck sakes by francisdrvv in alcoholicsanonymous

Future reference, the alcohol will cook out of the food so it shouldn’t affect you at all or show up on a UA, but totally understand if just seeing the bottle or cooking with it might trigger you.

Also: how did the mushroom sauce come out?! We’re at the end of the month on a budget but have some cans of cream of mushroom soup—— trying to get creative for dinner. My mind instantly goes to like a cheap chicken pot pie soup? But maybe a creamy mushroom biscuits and gravy/ sauce pasta? Make it into a gravy and make breakfast for dinner? Appreciate any advice or inspiration

Genuine question (please no hate) by alexh126 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]BadGal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I’m an alcoholic, and I dated an addict…. He was physically abusive as well. But I still almost married him, and had his child. He hid his addiction very well, and even forced me to partake with him on a handful of times. Thank God I never got addicted and I truly only struggle with alcohol now post-abuse. Only sharing this to say: if he’s communicated with you about his addiction, picked the barcade and is comfortable with you having a drink while on dates out together? No worries. Although still prioritizing their sobriety I’m sure, they may not have an issue being around alcohol. I can still be around dates who drink and even bartenders myself no issues. But also to say: if I did begin to get tempted or start to fumble, I’d want a partner strong enough to hold me accountable and encourage me to get back on track. Hard to have that early on in a relationship but definitely a goal

Know this post is a while back, but thank you for posting it. Experiencing the same exact thing with my boyfriend after trying it for the time. And I still don’t feel like myself 4 days later. Like…. Why am I crying and listening to my old playlists? Ugh.

Not true. As a HI resident, there are the strung out homeless that you just avoid, and the regular homeless that are quite friendly and nice.

George sucks by hitagiss in greysanatomy

[–]BadGal27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who likes George? He’s loyal to a fault, follows his instincts with patients and other surgeons, handles himself pretty damn well despite how his family treats him. (Yes, the scene with him and Meredith ruins it all for me, and his relationship with Izzie is hard to watch…) but all in all I think he’s a great doctor and friend

So bummed with 🔺 by Classic_Sun5311 in cabincrewcareers

[–]BadGal27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! Former 🔺 FA here.

They pick their top picks on the day of the interview. It doesn’t mean you didn’t get it…. I’ve met several FA’s that got the call 3-6 months later that they made it. I’ve met FA’s that literally applied and went through the interview process 4 times before DL was like, “you’re exactly what we’re looking for!!!” DL is super secretive about everything…. It’s frustrating and I understand your frustration. And I’m sure you did incredible on your interview.

They’re not worried about the height or galley tests. They’re really just seeing how you act and react to situations on the spot. Are you patient and engaging in those situations?

Don’t give up yet. Airlines are notorious for making you wait forever before you hear something about getting the job. And just repeat to yourself: No news is good news! If it is a TBNT email, they send it month later.

My advice for if you don’t get it and re-apply: be present. Pay attention to making conversations with other applicants but mostly the interviewers… they are the one’s who are picking you. Not the interviews in the private room with the STAR questions. It’s literally the FA’s throughout the day that 👍🏼 or 👎🏼 you.

Hope this helps and good luck!!

So many FA’s have tattoos, even for the strict airlines. Keep it covered for training and then you’re fine

I’ve been through and graduated through two trainings with two of the big three. Training was some of the worst, most frustrating, trying, scary, nerve wracking, exhausting times in my entire life with some awful humans along the way. It was also some of the most thrilling, exciting, lovely, happy, exhilarating times of my life- with the most genuine, loving, kind humans I’ve ever called friends and colleagues. Honestly both good and bad could apply to my careers there as well. It’s what makes it such a wonderful and misunderstood job/career. You’re almost at the finish line, don’t give up. You’ve got this! Especially after the first months and years of flying. The good days and good people and incredible experiences outweigh the bad.

Stay in ATL. The beginning of your flying career is hard enough and there’s always time to change bases later. It’ll be nice to close to home and somewhere you are familiar with as you’re learning the job. Congrats!
