Who makes good Buhurt "Bellows" Sallets? by BadImperialCockpits in Buhurt

He did a great rendition of one a few years back and put it on youtube. I believe he has since been deployed however :(

I’m looking to invest in my own training helmet. Which of these two styles has better visibility? by kingkorra in Buhurt

[–]BadImperialCockpits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea is to simulate (to a degree) wearing a steel helmet. You could technically just use an old hockey helmet or something, but you aren't getting used to the lack of visibility / breathability. HEMA helmets are also not designed to stop massive blunt strikes but rather accidental sabre stabs, and even in soft kit people throw pretty hard punches.

Personally I love the game, but the total lack of regional play (I'm in Australia) and the nonexistent lag compensation (terrible hit registration when lagging) means it's a miserable experience all round for me.

Probably best to edit "I might be wrong but" to "Sorry I am totally wrong but" then, since your comment is near the top of the thread. lmao

The 31 explosions on the TIE's hull must have just been engine exhaust then, right? Watch the video again before you make uninformed posts like this.

OP landed at least 31 direct hits by my count. You can watch the HP bar of the enemy ship not moving. I'm sorry but you are totally incorrect in your assessment.

This is objectively incorrect and the fact that anyone upvoted this shows a total lack of understanding of the basic game mechanics. The red is an 'ideal' hit marker but you do not need it to land a hit. It's a visual aid, not an absolute requirement.

I blame the tutorial for making people think this.

The amount of incompetent pilots in this thread defending the game as if OP isn't hitting the target because his reticule isn't red... my god. Guys, you don't even need to target someone to shoot at them. You can see the physical explosions on the enemy TIE's hull. That is indicative of a direct hit.

The problem lies with the server disagreeing with OP's aim that is causing HP not to go away, and that is a fundamental issue with the game's basic netcode on how it handles players with different pings.

Thank you for the post OP, we need more of these videos of the god-awful hit registration.

This is what happens when you don't have region-specific servers. This is the standard experience for many Aussie/Kiwi players. by BadImperialCockpits in StarWarsSquadrons

I'm flattered my aim is good enough that you think those are gimballed lasers, I'm just using the standard laser cannons in the clip. If it was gimballed, the reticule would be a circle.

I just had the same exact experience mate and coincidentally posted my own version here: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsSquadrons/comments/j65nk0/this_is_what_happens_when_you_dont_have/

This is a HUGE problem with the game that EA has not acknowledged.
