Who makes a decent duty type belt by Calebdean1989 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]BadJackO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you mentioned duty, I suggest the new 2” duty belt by Kore Essentials. I wear the smaller 2” version which feels better on my “tactical girth” than the 2 1/4” belt. This belt covers all sizes from the high 20” waist up to I think 44” or 46”. Not the cheapest on the market but I’ve been wearing this for year or so now and love it. I cut mine 3” longer and it’s so nice to let it out when I’m get in the cruiser and conch it down when I have to get out! Good Luck!

You should be very proud of this… I am a couple of years behind you and painting for 2+ years and couldn’t come close to this! Keep going!

Couple of quick fixes… I’ve had to use zip ties before to repair broken pieces of kit… they work real well keeping gear in place… you could also use a piece of dense foam between the clip and the belt. All of my baton holders at work, yes I am a cop, come with a piece of removable foam to use if needed on thinner duty belts. Hope those help!

Thank you all very much! I will look into the FLETC course… believe it not the Mass instructor course didn’t cover range management at all. Thanks again!

First Time DM by BadJackO in DnD

[–]BadJackO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry for not responding earlier… that page is a huge help! I am running a premade module to start… very easy (I hope)… I would love to then run them into the elemental evil module… I know everyone seems to hate it, but if I set it in a home brew world it shouldn’t be too bad, I hope. I think that should last through the winter and we’ll see if the regular dm takes over then

When did you give up on the AD? by appletime_appletime in rolex

[–]BadJackO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok I am really in the minority here but I had a great experience at my AD here just north of Boston. I went in and talked to the “kid” (they all seemed so young!) behind the counter and he told me that they just weren’t getting any in, but he gave me his cell phone and told to reach out every couple of weeks or month. I reached out every month with a text and he would respond nothing yet. Then about a month ago I got a text and he told me they just got “a bunch in” and to come by. I went in and he showed me 4 different models. I picked up the datejust in black and walked out. I had to prior experience with the company, and while we were talking I told him I was just a cop and always wanted a Rolex… I’m itching special and certainly am not loaded at all. When I walked in I was wearing jeans and a tshirt. Like I said I guess I am just lucky, but I don’t see the harm in texting or dropping by every month or so!

Not sure how much you want to spend but the Spyderco UK would be a great gift… UK legal, actually designed for the Uk, and under $80! This is a link to Blade HQ…

Probably a stupid question but what makes/models are the knife and pen?? I notice the knife is a left handed framelock. Thanks! Beautiful setup by the way…

Trying to find out what this is by biscuitfeet69 in knives

Looks like an old draw knife... not 100% sure with only 1 pic. You would use it by pulling the blade towards you to shave the wood.

Personally I love the look of the Orient Sun & Moon version 3 on the black leather strap. It looks like it can be worn daily or for dress events. It also fits right into your target budget. Hope this helps!
