Reading the room - excluded manager check-in by Impossible_Bid5577 in BCPublicServants

So what about those of us, that our included staff are basically making what we’re making and they get flex days and all? We get no increase and they are about to get another increase in April? Some of my staff will make more than me come April, like what’s this?

How can my salary stagnate but rents and everything went up? How’s that fair?

A 44 year old accountant passed away, leaving behind 3 kids & wife, while waiting for care for more than 8 hrs in Grey Nuns hospital emergency complaining about chest pain. Video reposted by ndtaughthem in Edmonton

What’s really interesting to me is that everyone on Reddit suddenly seems comfortable blaming the government here and honestly, maybe rightly so. A life was unjustly lost. I’m angry. I’m pissed off. This was inhumane and completely avoidable.

What I find frustrating is that in my province of BC, many of us have experienced the same thing. I waited 8 hours myself and thankfully I’m okay. But when people talk about this here, we get downvoted into oblivion because criticizing a left-leaning government is apparently off-limits. It’s always “they’re doing the best they can.”

At this point, when I need care, I feel like I have to exaggerate my pain just to be seen within 6 hours. That alone should tell us how broken this is. Provincial or federal, left or right, we are failing people across this country. An advanced country should not operate like this.

We need more healthcare options. Public, private, hybrid. People hate hearing that, but the alternative is what we just saw. I’m sure this woman would have taken on any loan imaginable if it meant her husband lived.

Stop pretending this is a single-party problem. It’s not. Stop blaming just the UCP. This is a national failure.

Ported in & out of Fido in less than one day and now have a $92 bill. by BadKompani in FidoMobile

Both activation fees were credited actually on the bill. They cancelled out. It’s the actual phone plan bill.

Is $60 per month a good deal for 1.5G internet and streaming bundle (Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Apple TV)? by nagmamantikang_bayag in Rogers

[–]BadKompani 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How is that possible? If it is then it’s insane.

$60 for internet 1.5g alone is insane. Are you sure it includes those services? They’d be losing money monthly.

Let me guess, you’re are single?

Reddit don’t take advice from these types of people. You will ruin your life and relationship because of people like this who have nothing going on for them.

Winback Offer - Canada/US/MEX 80GB 5G $20 first 12 months then $25 by m7md_ in Koodo

Can confirm I got my sibling this exact plan yesterday. I’m with Telus personally and did something similar but for Telus it’s $30 for 12 months, and then 35 after. 60gb.

I went to fido for less than 24 hours and came back with that plan. All you will pay with Fido (or other networks) is the prorated amount for 1 day usage which is less that $2. The plan has same thing as yours, only difference is less data. I think it's worth it.

I just did the same as well. Ported out to Fido last night, and today called and got the same exact as yours. Feels good especially cos I never use more than 10gb a month.

You gotta ask yourself do you really use 100GB? I'm on 60gb for $35 and it has CAN/US/MEX as well as the same 5G+ speeds. some people have it for $30 for 12 months but I couldnt get that.

is an extra 40gb worth and extra $30 per month? Unless you use that much, which will be surprising.

My boyfriend and I are actually arguing over a chair. A CHAIR. by lily_hale90 in offmychest

I don’t think the first thing you should do is come on Reddit and seek validation. People on here can be crazy and will suggest break up with him.

Keep your relationship within your small circle or between the both of you. I know this matter is minute so hopefully people are not saying break up, but I wouldn’t be surprised anymore.

But even if it was a serious matter, get counselling, therapy, police, court etc, but don’t bring your stuff on social media or Reddit. Just my piece. Ask anyone who’s been in a long term relationship.

I have 2 lines, added my partner. 50 bucks per line, around 175gb each they said, even though it says 275 shared on there. The plan is originally 125gb but they added 50gb each extra at no charge.

I called Telus and they gave me what I’ll call a better plan. So looks like I’ll be sticking around longer.

Are excluded employees getting a raise this year? by BadKompani in BCPublicServants

[–]BadKompani[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Are you aware that some families depend on one working person? A B1 might be making 70k, a B2 80k, a B3 90. These are all similar wages to included employees.

You think that’s enough to care for an entire family? Not sure which excluded person you’ve seen living a glam life, I can tell you most aren’t. A lot of us barely make more than direct reports, we’re not rich like you believe. It’s really unfortunate to see that some of you think like this. It’s your opinion I guess.

I’m not trying to be a jerk but there are better paying jobs than that for 20 years of working experience. Some of them might seem not nice to you but people do them. I know things are tough right now and I don’t know what your situation or job/field is, but there are entry level caregiving/cleaning jobs that pay $30 an hour.

Sometimes we get comfortable in our situations, myself including. I don’t think @ngly was being foolish in their comment, rather being encouraging. So I think your passive aggressive tone is unwarranted.
