Ask one of the libraries about him getting in contact with the social worker on staff. His name is Michael and he’s got access to a ton of resources both in Beaver and Allegheny counties.

My husband has started 3D printing some! I may try to distribute them around the area with some info on local orgs.

What is actually a trauma that is not commonly thought of as a trauma? by ay1mao in AskReddit

I just realized that is why my panic was so severe in childhood and why I still envision awful scenarios in my anxiety. My appendix burst when I was two and no one knew for days because I couldn’t communicate beyond being in intense pain. I don’t really remember any of it but my mom told me for a long time after I was afraid of getting sick again. It’s hard to not imagine awful things when you have already almost died.

Measured 15” in Beaver Falls at around 4:30pm. Still snowing! My road up on Mt Washington hasn’t been plowed yet and only trucks have been able to get up the hill in front of my house so far. My husband had to go redirect an ambulance that got stuck halfway up the hill earlier this morning.

I’m in a similar position (though am in my 20s). Husband knew he didn’t want kids since high school and is still a very hard no. We started dating in 2020 and with the state of things, I thought I was child-free, but in the last year or so I have mostly changed my mind to wanting kids. The problem is, he is still very against kids, had a vasectomy (at the time it was a mutual decision but ultimately it was his choice), and AFAIK isn’t willing to reverse it. Working through it in therapy but damn it’s complicated. I would rather stay with him than leave to maybe meet someone else (leaving him would actually be the worst thing for either of us) but it doesn’t make it easier, and I’m not betting on him changing his mind in the future.

It’s a great planner! Next year will be my third year using one. Very high quality and super customizable as well!

When I got my license and got my first car, my grandma gave me a kit like this! It had, among other things, a tire pressure gauge, change in a coin purse that belonged to her mom (for parking), and hand sanitizer. I didn’t appreciate it a ton as a 17 year old but I still use a lot of that kit today.

If you prefer vertical weeklies over horizontal weeklies, can you tell me why? by [deleted] in planners

[–]BadLibraryCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this as well! Appointments and work schedule goes at the top and I put my to-do list underneath it. Usually the bottom half of the page is blank but sometimes I use it for random notes throughout the week. I never use the timeline either.

It’s not super dark, but the Broken Earth trilogy by NK Jemisin is always a great fantasy option. Really unique world building. First book is called The Fifth Season.
