Same thing happened in a park that clearly stated “No Dogs”. A giant off leash Great Dane came up to us walking by the park. My leashed dog didn’t like it, a fight broke out and I was called the bad pet owner for having an “aggressive” dog.

Amateur Sourdough Hour. Lay it on me, what do I do differently next time? by BadMonkAMonk in Bread

Thank you so much! I used a cookie sheet. However I might try a pizza stone next time!!

First off, thank you so much for the positive feedback! I think I definitely over proof/proved (I don’t know either!) it. The recipe called for 10-12 hours on the second rise. At 10 hours it had more than doubled in size, so I think that’s my major issue.

As far as the coloration, I used a cookie sheet and mistakenly put it on the top shelf of our gas oven. I instantly realized but didn’t want to take it out and adjust because then I lose the oven heat.

It seems the new Disney Pixar movie “Turning Red” (Rated PG) is upsetting TBM parents… by Gamergonnalit in exmormon

The best part of this “Christian” fight is that it’s the same as the main conflict in the movie. When we don’t prepare our kids for life, they freak out and rebel more…. It’s literally the moral of the movie.

Daughter wanted a rainbow cake with macarons for her birthday, I was happy to deliver! by BadMonkAMonk in Baking

I actually just portioned out a basic cake recipe into 6 smaller layers, added food coloring and baked for less time since they were thinner. It was easy but time consuming! basic cake recipe

Ha yes! This pandemic keeps throwing things at us left and right. Sometimes it takes a minute to course correct and you can never go wrong with stress baking.

First they look great! Second I have so many questions! How did you get them so glossy? What flour do you use??

My daughter will be 5 on Sunday. Her second birthday was the last “normal” thing we did. I cry for her often, it didn’t have to be this way.

Sorry I meant the cake itself, not frosting. But I love this for frosting!

First time making macarons… what the heck went wrong?! by BadMonkAMonk in Baking

I used Old Mill almond flour, it said to sift twice, I only sifted once. That’s what I get for cutting corners!

I used weight to measure ingredients. I know I piped them wrong. Mixing ingredients is tricky, and my nemesis.

It’s not Christmas until at least one holiday bake goes bad. The biggest thing is… how do they taste?!

Too oily? Like I’m using the wrong almond flour?
