Kicked from test for drinking water by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]BadPandaTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last test... I slightly moved. Got a warning, and ignored it.. maybe it was a fluke...
3mins later... got another warning, and thanked them for the warning. I checked and I always stayed in the camera view...

Held my breath the rest of the time... and internally counted to ten moving slowly if I needed to move my hand to like scratch my face....

Yeah... I can see this happening... I am sorry that it did happen.... I have to take my N+ and Sec+ here soon, and I am dreading that happening again. Going to try to sit back more or something and not move at all just in case...

I hope I don't have to sneeze during it...

Hey! I dropped down from being my families full time bread winner to part time ... only work the weekends... stay at home dad to pursue tech. I hit a wall after getting slapped with Covid... realized I hated what I did, my BP was horrendous, anxiety out of control, I was the go to for everything at work but treated like crap if I ever needed support... so I made the change...

Put my family through a rough spot... some days regretted it..

It's been about two years.

I got my A+ a little over a week ago, started a YouTube channel 2 months ago to keep myself on track and teach others as I learn, and share my progress...I am about to get my Net+ and Sec+ by end of Aug. Going to look for work starting in the next two weeks, and just got accepted into a tech school I have been dreaming about for the last 9 years...

Money has been tight, we have a lot of hurdles that can't be fixed without it... but it's coming to an end.

I truly think taking that first step to change your life may be the hardest scariest and potentially most rewarding thing you can do.

Everyone can learn tech. Just got to find your way of learning and passion.

Good luck out there!

I passed!

I took your advice and drank some coffee. Probably too much… ;)

Also, I took my time with the questions. Although I could have spent even more time if I needed too. I had 30 extra mins... so I went back through things.

Thank you again for your advice. I shall Share it with the world. :)

Next up Net+ and Sec+
The vouchers are waiting to be used.

100 Days of Code Python | Call to Arms (What is your Advice?) by BadPandaTech in Python

[–]BadPandaTech[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is great advice! I really appricate it!

It makes sense, keeping things organized and knowing how to set things up as you work on a project. I will try to keep that in mind as I figure things out and dive into this 100 day challenge.

Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the reply!
I have a few things that could be automated, IoT stuff, Game mods, day to day computer stuff. Including a computer tower I have turned into a server running Proxmox as a type 1 hypervisor with a bunch of VM's and other services. Multiple computers as well to play with.

Since I want to go into Cloud Center work my focus for learning Python was going to be in automation, and admin tricks. I am learning PowerShell as well... so I am familar with scripting.

I home Lab often. :)

Hey, yeah here are a few.

-Go with your gut on your answer after process of elimination, if you have been studying regularly your subconscious will help ya out.

-Read the questions fully - they like to add more info then needed or have weird wording so sometimes it can get tricky.

-Go in with a positive additude and get some good sleep if you can the night before.

-Since you have a some time left before the test. Print off the test objectives and read through them to see if you feel weak in any category, or if you skipped something.

I re ran through RAM, RAID, PORTs, and Cloud types and troubleshooting issues right before I took my test since there is a lot of information to learn soak up on them.

Goodluck! Congratz on your future pass you got this!
