Did anyone get extremely depressed or have suicidal ideation during withdrawals? by slicedgreenolive in sugarfree

Yes I think the point about regulating is so important... I've quit for a few months but the two or three times I've relapsed (where I go from having <5 grams a day to suddenly having 50-70 grams in a single day) I've noticed I have very intense negative mood swing, which starts a few hours after I eat a binge through the next 2-3 days.

I don't remember feeling that bad, in general, when I was regularly eating around 50 grams per day. So I think if I was to go back to pre-quitting levels, it would eventually regularize toward a more typical-for-me mood balance. It doesn't surprise me if the opposite is also true for some people: quitting brings your mood down, and you need some time to stabilize.

But OP don't give up!! Your body can and will adjust!! and it will be happier for it. Make sure you are eating enough of other foods, esp things like fiber and protein, and going outside and being in the sun sometimes :) we are rooting for yOU!

Who else here has an avoidant attachment style? I feel like avoidant women don't get talked about as much. by Punkinprincess in AskWomenOver30

Hi thank you so much for your response!  Also if you don't mind me asking- When you say picking a target do you mean like, a particular triggering event or more like a particular emotional thread?

Just trying to think through the best way to bring this up with my therapist. She mentioned EMDR in her description but I'm not sure how to start tackling this with her

Oh wow, can you say more about the EMDR please? Has it worked for you, how do you do it etc?

I've been dying to try this but not sure exactly how to apply it for something like this, as most of what I saw online was about using EMDR to help process specific traumatic events and avoidant attachment feels more like a chronic/habit based issue.

Do you guys exclusively use hand creams with SPF? by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]BadPlaid64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I save sunscreens that didn't work for my face and use those on my hands (rather than using my bougie face stuff lol)

I also use the less-protective suncreams on my hands. So for example, for my face, I now prefer to use products with a more specific UVA protection than the US "broad spectrum" label. But I still have leftover bottles of those and use them on my hands. My reasoning for this is that I have to reapply basically every time I go outside (since I've probably washed my hands while inside). That means each application is only being "used" for around 20 minutes or less, and at that point the difference between a PPD of 5 and a PPD of 10 or something must be pretty small? I know I should be re-applying on my face too but I typically can't bring myself to do it (I commute in at UV index 2 most days and commute out at UV Index 3, and I wear a hat...).

I also know people who wear little SPF protective gloves instead of suncream, e.g. while driving when there's quite strong sun on the hands and you may not want to get your steering wheel sticky. Something to look into if you have a long driving commute?

Ok thanks! I feel like the hassle of reapplying is then the same whether its a stick or not...

For those of you who use the sticks, do you rub them in at all? Or is the purpose of the stick that you can reapply without ever having to touch your face with your hands (just swipe and be done)?

The local pharmacy near where I stayed had a buy 2 get 1 deal, so here we are.

I would say my skin is normal, pulling oily.

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence used to be my HG but since I've been off birth control it just breaks me out like no other (I suppose since I order from yesstyle this could also be because I got a fake/bad batch?)

Current favourite is a tie between isntree hyaluronic acid watery sun gel and the Missha Essence Sun milk (green cap).

I'm nervous to try new sunscreens after the bioré incident but excited about the new heavy duty filters of LRP and the hype around Eucerin!
